In terms of pure entertainment, which makes the best match-up?

He has a bitter history with Victor Ortiz and has been wanting to get him in the ring to reconcile their issues. Ist es wahr.

Other crash-bang options at 140 include the monsters from Argentina: Marcos Rene Maidana and Lucas Martin Matthysse

If he stays at 135 he can go after the winner and/or loser of Soto-Antillon II (in fact, Arum has gone on record saying he'd like to put all three of them in a round-robin for the next couple of years).

    Katsidis' style would be perfect.

People are talking about putting him in with Marquez, which would make for an intriguing contrast.

He'd smash a hole through John Molina IMO, but it would be a rollercoaster ride while it lasted.

Acosta more than earned himself a rematch, but no way will the risk/reward seem attractive to Arum given that Acosta is a thinking man's fighter and would likely find a way to adapt to Rios in a second try. Besides, Arum as much as pooh-poohed the idea when suggested by Jim Gray.

I mentioned it yesterday, but I think Antonio Demarco would be a good fight for him at this point. A guy he can beat, but will make it an entertaining fight. Katsidis would be good too, he'd be a good measuring stick to show where Rios really is. Katsidis has fought some great fighters, so lets see how Rios does.

By all means, knock yourself out if you think they'd all be equally thrilling! :p It was intentionally set up so you could.

Speaking of knockouts, these matches would probably end in one 90% of the time. :yep

The best fight would be with Katsidis. Possibly John Murray too because he has a really good chin but, unlike Katsidis, lacks power. It would still be a war though.

I don't know man. DeMarco would be a good test for Rios but that isn't really the focal point here.

In terms of excitement, I feel DeMarco would be a letdown. FFS, he ran from Reyes Sanchez who isn't one tenth the puncher or pressure fighter Rios is.

I'd love to see Acosta get another shot. I think he could probably figure him out and adapt to win a rematch.

Of course, we all know that's not gonna happen.

Doubt it. Unless he makes this an ugly fight by constantly running an hugging(even worse than he did the first time) Acosta loses again. Best case scenario here is Acosta gets stopped in the championship rounds!

    katsidis of course
He deserves a shot after his effort against JMM, Katsidis is one tue warrior you know won't take one step back, same goes for Rios. FOTY potential if this fight is ever made

Winner of Soto/Antillon makes most sense at this point. Katsidis would be runner up. Acosta shouldn't be mentioned because he just doesn't have the chin and conditioning to keep up with Rios. Molina needs to get more wins under his belt. The rest of the guys on the list have bigger fish to fry. But of course if you threw Ortiz in the ring with Rios 4 months from now, I wouldn't complain.

Kats/Rios = No one will be willing to take a step back. KO before the 6th; leaning towards Rios.

    Either Maidana or Matthyse.

Rios is too big and strong for Kat and Soto.

Maidana and Matthyse can match his size.

Given Bam Bam's weakness to the body.... I think Matthyse might be the guy he should avoid when he moves up.
