5. No way. 6. Clottey didn't look hurt to me and everyone else he fought was below the welterweight limit. Floyd all the way for me. Although Manny is dangerous I don't think he will get to Floyd enough and would be made to look bad when he attempted to do so. They say that styles make fights and I think Floyd's style would cause Manny real problems however I also don't think we will see Manny agree to fight Floyd so the chances of finding out are slim to none.
Although I'd hold lil Floyd to be a slight favourite IF they met, I'm going with the Pacman here. He's the greater (not necessarily better) fighter at this point, and he's also the P4P #1 fighter.
I think it's the other way around, based on Manny is not afraid to lose as long as he gives a good fight, unlike Floyd does not want to gamble on his "0".
Mayweather superb defensively & is a better technical boxer, he`s an artist in the ring, I love that **** but I also love the aggression & relentlessness of Pacquiao, they are my 2 fav fighters to watch inside the ring. I love a mixture of everything really but in this case... the technique of Mayweather makes him better to watch for me.
I prefer Pacquiao (obviously). If we are concentrating only on their in-ring prowess and leaving all the lying and cherrypicking aside, there are some Mayweather performances I love watching. Hatton is probably my favourite, other than the wobble in round 1 it's pretty much a punch-perfect execution of a game challenger. I admire Floyd's defensive skills, and I think he was a truly great super-featherweight. But for me right now Pacquiao is the more effective fighter at welterweight. Floyd runs and pot-shots too much, and does not place enough emphasis on offense, leading to some really dull fights (Baldomir, Oscar, Marquez). Pacquiao's movement and output make him not only thrilling to watch, but brilliant as well. The two best fighters on the planet by light years. Absolutely cannot wait till they are in the same ring.
I like both. I wish Pac was better defensively - having better abilities to slip and roll. I wish PBF was better offensively, not relying too much on one pot shot or one shot counter. His offense does not quite equal his mythical defense. Outside of the ring - would be great for US boxing if Manny knows how to speak proper English - or at least better. I see him struggle with every English interview. Mainstream Americans have a harder time relating to non English speaking celebrity. I wish Floyd would grow up. He panders to the lowest common denominator. He thinks playing it bad is the only way to make it interesting and sell. Boxing is already filled with real life scums (Arum), jerks, liars, criminals and etc. He does not have to play that role because we all know he is NOT one of them. Yet he is immature and childish in his perception of things. I wish they would fight each other already. No matter the results, my respect for both of them as a boxer and a human being would only increase significantly. So I vote choice #3 - both of them.
I like both for the same reasons as other people have said but sweet science is sweet science and thats that for me, so Floyd it is!
I voted Floyd. If only Pac was orthodox. I think the fact that he's a southpaw is probably one of the biggest factors in the potential match up.
