Impressive record but the only win i see worth to be mentioned is against a shot Vivian Harris....does he have a chance against Judah-who isnt either in his prime?
Anybody with a big punch has a good chance against judah!! I just watch mathysee- harris. It was an early stoppage but mathysee's dominating harris. mathysee has a good straight right. A good anti dote to a lefty judah. He also likes to go to the Body & mixed his punches. Bad footwork & minimal head movement but block punches well. He got hit Flush by harris but still moves forward, that's a sign of good chin. I can see a competitive fight early, maybe they trade KDs. But in the end Judah's Stamina & Chin will fail him. Mathysse by 7th rd KO!!
If judah wins this he is back in the mix at the top of the division imo. Judah should be able to clearly outbox him for a ud or maybe a late stoppage but it is judah lol
Not much info about Matthyse out there but did find these two articles: http://www.boxinginsider.com/headlines/lucas-matthysse-i-have-no-doubt-i-will-come-out-victorious/ http://www.boxinginsider.com/biofiles/the-biofile-get-2-know-lucas-matthysse/
but all his fights have been in argentina against people i dont know, its why i cant meassure how good he is...hope is another sergio maravilla in the making- judah is impredictable,if he shows with his hand speed and punching power could be trouble for Lucas.
I don't know if I'd say Matthysse was dominating. Harris was KDed in the first IIRC, but he won the next two rounds I thought. Based on memory anyway. Anyway, people thought his brother was a prospect too for a while. He better hope china chins don't run in the family.
I just studied his last fight against Vivian again. I think im swaying more towards Lucas now. I was gonna pick Zab but lets face it if this guy makes it past4-5 rounds its over for Zab. From what i have seen Matthysse has at least a decent chin and he puts pressure on his fighters along with a big punch. Zab has always been very overrated and his chin is not strong enough to take this kids punches for 12 rounds. I think Lucas sees some tough times in the beginning then wears Zab down to a stoppage. By the way who is the favorite?
Yeah it seems like too much of coincidence for two guys from Argentina with big punches both called Matthyesse to break onto the boxing scene within 5 years of each other.
Not really. There were two unrelated Ukranian guys that eventually got world titles at the same time, same weight class. Both freaky tall, spoke like Borat, claimed to be doctors with porn-sounding names.
