^May 4th might be too soon.
Mayweather deserves a "Find out if I still have it" fight, IMO.

Alvarez also needs one more "Oh ****!" Type performance to truly sell this potential fight.
(Which is probably what is going to happen)

After what marquez just did to pac, I'm about 60% that it would be marquez. I don't know about marquez contract from TR, but I thought it marquez is a free agent(not really sure on the details but I really though he isn't a full TR fighter)

He may have loss 12-0 to floyd but he deserves it and the payday rightfully so, all the mexican casual and hardcore fans would buy this fight and watch it thinking this would be a new marquez, a marquez that is now accustomed to 147. If not marquez then I don't see any other except for guerrero

Putting Baldomir to sleep was a "Oh ****!"
Remember Canelo don't need to impress the "boxing purest" to sell a fight.

Oh really? I can agree to disagree.....

I thought the win was good......but Baldomir was old and washed up and never stood a chance in hell of winning.

Baldo was shot to ****... No argument there.
But like I said in the previous post, Alvarez don't need to impress those of us who know that Baldo was a punching bag @this point.

To sell a fight Alvarez needs to impress the casual & possible bandwagoner.
That said... Regardless how Golden matches him IMO Canelo has the goods.

I'd expect his Mando challenger. Would prefer Bradley or jmm if he is to remain there.

Ideally he goes up to lmw.

I think he'll roll the dice with Canelo now and fight a welterweight later in the year. The longer Floyd waits on fighting Canelo, the greater the chance he loses. It's in his interest to try and fight Kid Ginger now before he gets too old.
