I have heard it is 147 from a few boxing sources.

I like Bradley too, but another fighter moving up would just not "hype" well. Personally I think it is the best fight. Folks will disagree.

I think Martinez at 154 falls into the, "I don't blame him." category. If Pac wouldn't do it I wouldn't hold it against him. I also think that Martinez at 147 is bad for him since he hasn't made the weight since 2001.

I agree too. I think he should secure the Berto/Mosely winner now. If Manny has a beast of a performance against Clottey? Manny and the winner of Berto/Mosely might be in the driver's seat. The winner of Berto/Mosely will have to really weigh his options.

This is not a rumor mill bashing thread. You need to source that. If not? Kill it. That goes BOTH ways. :good

if he wants to put on a great fight id say paul williams or berto mosley winner.anything else is shity to me, maybe bradley he is a beast and will be at 147 sooner or later.he could make that weight and still be a beast.

no paulie, no hatton, no cambell, no cintron.those type of fights are not good enough for me anymore.i only want him in the ring with animals.

    clottey
    mosley
    pac
    williams
    martinez
    berto
    bradley

any of those 7 and im cool, anyone else im be pissed.

    1) Collazo- Talented, comes to fight, makes exciting fights, and deserves a payday (after performances with Hatton and Berto). Marketable because it could be sold to general public as a possible tuneup to Pacquaio because he is a fast, tough southpaw and in Ring's Top Ten @ 147.

    2) Kermit Cintron- Decent fighter, Big puncher (shutting up critics who say Floyd's afraid of pumcher his size), relatively safe fight for Mayweather IMO since he's outboxable, Marketable because he's Puerto Rican and in Ring's Top Ten at next weight class, 154.

    3) Carlos Quintana- IMO easy win for Floyd and only used as a last resort if he can't get other two. Marketable cause he's Puerto Rican, also a southpaw, and In Ring's Top Ten @ 147.

Its a nail biter waiting to see what Floyd does, this is chess and PAC just checked him. Floyds next move will determine how the future goes. I can't wait...they said a few more days to announe a fighter. Waiting sucks...

  7. Personally I dont see any reason why Floyd cant fight Williams at 154. If he's the best, fighting up a weight division shouldn't be a problem. It's not like he's a small welterweight anymore. And this is what p4p champions are supposed to do!

Personally, if not Cintron then Collazo. I think that Floyd needs to fight someone that casual boxing fans will know or at least somewhat recognize. There isn't much time left and I think that Collazo deserves the exposure and the payday, however he does not pose much of a risk. Cintron has been knocking people out for a while now, and having fought at LMW he seems more dangerous and probably a better fight for Floyd's legacy and to shut up the haters. But if I had my choice, it'd be Cintron or Collazo. I would love to see Bradley but as soon as Floyd was done with him all the size and weight whining would come into play... again.

The only reasonable opponent is Luis Collazo. He has given a lot of good fighters trouble. Collazo is gamed, a true 147lbs fighter. PLEASE ANYONE ,BUT MATTHEW HATTON.

Spoken like a rookie. Apparently, he's not that great at 154. Have you seen the DLH fight? Definitely not his weight class. Williams can come down to 147 just as easily. About P4P champs were you on PAC's ass when he'd make fighters fight at catch-weights instead of moving fully into another weight class? No double standards.

Check the thread topic. You have to work this fight into the March 13th date.

I can roll with any of those.

I hadn't considered Quintana because everything was so quiet with him, but he is decent. Looked him up on boxrec to update and he has been on some mean layoffs after that Williams loss. Still would be interesting, not on par with Clottey though.

Can you see Paul Williams making March 13?

Would you be satisfied if after losing the fight PW said, "I didn't feel as comfortable as I thought making 147."

I am just throwing it out there as I feel that after what Paul Williams went through with Martinez he will be doing some "soul searching". If he decides to campaign at 147 the LAST thing I would want as a fan or a matchmaker is to see him "test the waters" against the #2P4P fighter in the world.

Any analysis as to why you feel this is no big deal?
