Care to say which ones? I was at the fight and would have to agree with the judges. Rounds? Like plural? :rofl

The official scorecard showed Pavlik ahead of Espino 40-33 on all three judges cards before the fifth and final round.

On the other hand, dropping a decision isn't as physically impacting as getting brutally laid out cold.

I'd ask for a score-card, but you probably don't know how to add.

Not necessarily healing, but he was really looking to take a couple of months off after this fight. I think we as fans are a little impatient when it comes to "who's he fighting next?!?!"

Give him some time to get things worked out. He will fight someone soon. And you know how he is. It won;t be some cupcake, whoever it is.:good

I'd like to see compubox round by round for this fight. They were fighting on the inside and because Espino is the smaller fighter he got better extension on his punches and they looked cleaner than Pavlik's. Yes Kelly has the better chin and his shorter shots may have been more power than Espino's flusher looking punches. But I think some of the early rounds were pretty much back and forth that Espino edged out.

The key to him winning is learning how to defend the over hand/high hook punch. People say it was teh "slick south paw" style from Martinez and Quintana, but for anyone watching it was clear they're styles werent the problem. Paul has no defense for these punches. Quintana hit him all night with the same punch, he didt again for the 1st round of the second fight, and martinez nearly knocked him out with the same punch. Pavilk can be slow and podding, and simple, but as long as he know how to throw a high hook/overhand punch he will KO Paul fairly early in my opinion. Neither Quintana nor Martinez have close to Pav's power.

From where I was sitting I could hear the difference. Kelly did some good body work early and Espino had more hurting and aching than he could cover in the end.

My thoughts exactly! Give me the decision.

I think a fight with Pavlik hurts win or lose.

So, I take it you had quite a lot to drinky that night:patsch

There was no "back and forth" in that fight. I've watched it several times, and every round consisted of Espino trying to push forward while Pavlik thumped his ass repeatedly.

I never said he was. He does have some serious pop, great stamina, and he sends hard punches straight down the pipe. I think that would take Williams out. Not at all diminishing Williams as a fighter. I just see them both standing in front of each other until one guy falls.
