Who is more important to boxing history. Wladimir Klitschko or Floyd Mayweather Jr

  1. I think it's Wlad.

He's the 2nd ever top 10 Super Heavy (After Lewis)
He's the 2nd ever dominant European Heavy(After Lewis)
Plus it's the heavyweight division which historically will leave a bigger impact.

  7. You morons are ******ed.

Wlad is more important to boxing history. You guys think people will remember a ****ing light weight over a top 10 heavyweight.

How come people can list top 10 heavyweights in the blink of an eye.

Now List me a top 10 130 fighter... most people can't they have to think about it for a while.

30 years from now NOBODY except Boxrec will know who Wlad was. yet they will either hate or love Floyd, thats floyd for you... cant deny that from him. his show will carry on for decades from now, so enjoy his last fights...:bbb

  9. You are wrong. This current trend of lightweight domination is only a trend. 30 Years from now Wladimir will be in the history books and Floyd will be forgotten.

There is a reason historians love the debate of heavyweights more than any other weight class. Unless you are a Fab Four or Robinson.. history will NOT remember you as much as the heavyweights.

The FAB FOUR+Ray Ray are immortals.. they are the light weight Gods standing tall amongst their heavyweight peers. You can't say the same for Whitakker now can you? What about Cocoa Kid? Who's that? Classics know. Do casual boxing fans know?
They do know Marciano, they do know Holyfield.

Wladimir is unique in that he is 1 of 2 Top Tier ATG European Heavyweights... That in itself will leave a big mark in the history books. Wake up.

Wlad isn't even important to boxing now. He never sold PPV in America and fought only 5 world champs in a 60 fight career.
Without his belts he wouldn't even be ranked in the top 5 with these unranked bums he's fighting. He'll be stripped soon enough.
    He's a nobody.

Cotto fought on a Vitali undercard. Maywaether was building his career back then. Nobody foresaw him being what he is today...Everybody thought Gatti was going to feed him to the fishes.

Don't know about history, this will be upon future fans/pundits/ people involved to decide. Right now they seem both to be pretty important.

On this board you have multiple hate/love threads about the two every single day, this is just an expression for both guys' importance to keep boxing going.

Mayweather is arguably #1 at sfw at the very least top 3-4ish. Can't say the same about wlad at heavy. Unless you mean floyd at ww.

Mayweather should be ranked far higher at super featherweight than Wlad is at Heavyweight.

Obviously easier to be ranked higher at super feather than Heavyweight, but still:
