Rubio has a "Puncher's Chance" against Pavlik, which always reduces the fight to 50/50. I'd tend to think Jenning's chances are prob less than 50%. (I wonder which fighter will show "More" hunger post defeat?)
Pavlik clearly. Rubio's a decent fighter who was known to have concussive power at junior middleweight. He's beaten decent contenders (Ornelas, Zertuche) and nearly had Kassim Ouma out in the first round of their fight. Pavlik is there to be hit, and I'm pretty sure Rubio has the power to bother him if he lands flush. Even then, I think this fight will be a more competitve version of Pavlik-Zertuche, with Rubio having his moments early but eventually getting worn down and stopped. Opposed to Cotto-Jennings, which I expect to resemble Cotto-Gomez.
I'm listening to a bit of Bob Marley at the moment and all I need is some of what you're smoking! :rasta
I watched the fight several times. Rubio is a good one level below Pavlik. Neither guy in that fight really threw fast, hard punches. Rubio might have LOOKED like he had a good chin, but it won't be Ornales easily finding the mark this time. It is about chin. I could see this "going Lockett". No more than 8.
Pavlik, as he looked a shell after the Hopkins defeat. Sure Cotto was bashed up, but Pavlik looked like he had seen a ghost.
