Is there any chance of outlining a time frame within which such fights would likely take place.

Interesting thread. Mind you ... Haye and Wlad will probably still be negotiating this time next year. They'll probably have the Israel Palestine negotiated out before this Haye/Wlad saga is settled.

Chagaev has said if he gets past Valuev this Summer he would fight Vitali. Hopefully he is true to his word.

I don't see Chagaev getting the decision in the Valuev rematch, Holyfield won more rounds on my scorecard than he did in the 1st fight, and Evander still was robbed. Don King (all the controversy in Germany started when DK got involved with the giant, starting with the Larry Donald fight) made it clear they have no interest in a Klitschko fight unless he gets involved. Which will never EVER going to happen. And there's no other champ.

They should just declare Vitali the champ, since those guys have no chance of beating Vitali, anyway.

There won't be any unification as long as there are two champs who can't fight each other (the Klitschkos). Nor does there need to be. Who cares if there are three champs or two champs? It's the same difference. We need ONE champion. As long as two brothers hold the splintered titles, all the titles become sort of meaningless.
Wlad will be free to attempt to claim the mantle of true heavyweight champion once his big brother is out of the picture.

But two titleholders are better than three, especially since Vitali will probably retire shortly thereafter.....leaving complete unification likely/possible.

Valuev vs Chagaev I was staged by Valuev's promoter Sauerland as well and Chagaev still got the win on two scorecards, why shouldn't he be able to do it again?
