Let's be honest here. Santa Cruz was a good victory but the guy is one of the most inactive fighters there is. The guy gets a belt and then holds it hostage for years. If you can tell me how that's possible, I'll wire you some funds. /s I give credit for Isaac Cruz, but I think that that fight should have been a draw. People are going to get on me, but I actually had Cruz pulling out a win in that fight. I'm not getting upset that Tank won because it was very close, but I think it was clear that many punches Tank threw were caught on Cruz's guard, so in my mind, I think Cruz actually beat Tank. But the issue with his fighting Cruz is that the fight was an accident. He was supposed to fight Rolly, who's a no-hoper. Rolly is like a C class fighter right now. And we saw what happened. Everyone familiar with Rolly that I knew was calling for a KO, including myself, by the 5th or 6th round, and that's exactly what happened. Actually, I'm not going to run through Tank's resume, but for one of the best boxers in the sport, his resume is caca. How many legit world champions has Tank fought? He's fought one. Pedraza. All the other titles are held by the real champions. He can't call himself a champion when Josh Taylor was the champion. And even at lightweight, Alberto Machado was the real champion, so technically, he's only beat one world champion, and that's the problem with Tank. He may be amazing, but until you actually fight a worthwhile opponent, you'll never know. I was hoping that Cruz would be fighting people, but now he's in the protection program at PBC, fighting no one. So we can't see whether Cruz is as good as I suspect he is.
No one was afraid to fight Cruz, until after he taxed Tank's stank ass to the absolute limit. He was a complete and utter nobody beforehand. Just because @Drew101 and I both knew him and predicted he'd present real issues for Davis, doesn't mean Tank's handlers or any of the fans knew that. Hell, even IB didn't see that one coming.
Neither does Tank, who refused a rematch, even though almost everyone who scored the match had it a draw or 115-113 either way.
Tank already fought him, Riahanna has not nor will he ever that tells us the difference between them.
