Pacquiao,,... You can just simply compare his performance in the '09 and today,,... Anyway, I think he's got enough left to pull a win,,...

    They've slipped differently.

Floyd has slipped more as his reflexes are slower, his legs, and movement.

Pacquiao has slipped more as he's not as "aggressive"(killer instinct?) and isn't as ruthless.

Personally, and it sounds crazy, but based of Floyd's last two fights, he appears physically older and more further away from his prime than Pacquiao. It is only because of this slippage that I think Pac has a good chance.

I definitely wouldn't say Floyd slipped more. But as mentioned in the video link, I think Pac has declined steadily since 2010, whereas Mayweather only seemed to catch up on the decline front in the last year or so, after looking virtually unbeatable against Canelo.

They've slipped different. It's hard to gauge. Pacquiao has slipped in different areas than Floyd. I think Pac still has his hand speed, foot speed, stamina. Mayweather's IQ, accuracy, punch output is same, but his leg movement, stamina has decreased. So, it's just different. Like you said, it seemed like Floyd got old overnight because he looked so prime-like against Canelo. Crazy.

For THIS fight, even though both have slipped, I feel the areas Floyd has slipped in are more detrimental. His legs... dude. His legs are sooo important in this fight. If his legs seemed tired by 8,9,10 rd against against Maidana, how will he handle Pac who fights at a ridiculously fast pace and increases his workrate/punchoutput the further the fight goes on. Heck, Maidana it was the first time I can think of where Floyd looked up at see how much time was left.

His legs are more important in this fight than Pacquiao's ruthlessness or even power, IMO. There so important! Especially against a guy who's feet are as quick as Pac.

I agree with most of what you're saying and I especially agree that they have definitely slipped differently, Floyd more so in the last year, because even in his rematch with Maidana where he won more comfortably, he looked extremely uncomfortable at times in ways that we don't usually see him. But Pac has been on steady decline for years now, notably since the Mosley fight (even thought he pasted Shane). It's been steady, and while he is still phenomenal, he has slipped in speed of hand and foot as well as stamina. Did you happen to see the 2nd half of the vid?

Pac still looks good, has the speed, angles, etc., Void is taking Pac for granted. Didn't Marquez, Mosley and some others warn Pac that Void can't lose in Vegas? Void's referee will not allow Pac to fight on the inside, watch and see...............

Agreed. The simple fact that Floyd had trouble against Maidana in stretches is very telling, because prime Floyd toys with Maidana. And i do think it has mostly to do with his legs slowing down. And if Pac is able to consistently corner Floyd and let his hands go, Floyd will be in some uncomfortable situations. If Pac was fighting Floyd coming off the Canelo fight, i give Pac a noticeably slimmer chance. But given how good Pac has looked of late and how vulnerable Floyd has of late, i give Pac a hell of a shot.

I didn't think Floyd looked virtually unbeatable against Canelo. While it was becoming evident as early as the Cotto fight it was clear as day in the Canelo fight that Floyd had lost the quickness in his legs. He hasn't lost a step he has lost 2. It just didn't matter given Canelo's style.

Maybe it didn't matter given Canelo's style. I can agree with that, but he did virtually look unbeatable that night in my eyes. And as for him slipping in the Cotto fight, I didn't really see it. Cotto is a good fighter, and he only managed to have 2 notably good rounds the entire fight.

Also true. Given the fact that Canelo is a very stationary fighter and doesn't use his legs much probably concealed how much Floyd's legs have slowed down. But it was still a master class performance. But Canelo fights nothing like Pac. Pac brings hand speed, foot speed, punches in bunches and is a southpaw.

And i actually think what Floyd has lost of late is more important than what Pac has lost of late. His bread and butter was his reflexes and legs, at least when it came to his defense. With some of that gone, he is easier to track down and hit.

    Mayweather clearly.

A Prime Mayweather would have got a shutout win against Maidana, but Floyd look like **** in both fights

Pacquiao has just simply changed his style, he isnt as fast or explosive as he once was but really hasnt declined much at all just a change of style after the JMM 4 fight.
