if you are referring to that punch, it was a counter to Floyd's pull counter.. instead of Maidana throwing only one quick left, he followed it up with right hand simultaneously slipping Floyd's pull counter.. watch it again.. it's not because Floyd lost a step!

so let's stop this nonsense that Floyd declined, Pacquiao declined bullshyt!!

let there be no excuses on both sides!! best man standing!! this is it!! let's enjoy it while it last.....

That hat was from my high school days. I was a big 49ers fan growing up, but ultimately I was even a bigger fan of Joe Montana and Jerry Rice, having rooted for Kansas City in 93-94 when Montana was there, and for Rice on the Raiders in the early 00s. Once Rice retired a Seahawk, my love of NFL football diminished, and I had no real allegiance to any team. My friends are mostly Jets fans, and I wound up getting season tickets in 2008 when Favre was there. (I was also at the Seahawks-Jets game when Rice scored what would be his final Touchdown).

In my mind, this hat represents the Niners from the Glory Days!

Incidentally, the 49ers franchise went down hill when their owner, poor Eddie DeBartolo, was caught trying to bribe the Louisiana Governor. That ruined the franchise, but I always wondered, if Eddie said something like, "WHO the fug does that guy think he is, that low life Governor! Does he KNOW WHO I AM? I OWN the NINERS!"

That said, I do have a Jets hat and intend to wear it.

Pretty much like several others here I think Floyd has lost more- due to his recent fights.

This does not, however, mean he loses the fight.

As stated prior, I think Pac's only chance is being able to really ramp it up for the 2nd half of the fight- where we normally see Floyd dominate.

I actually think Pac has a better chance of doing something special in the first half of the fight. If he can succeed with a watered down version of the type of effort that Kovalev launched on Hopkins, he could wind up winning similarly to that (although I doubt it would ever be so commanding or dominant).

If Pac hasn't done anything special by round 6, I'm not expecting much over the 2nd half of the fight from him.

Mayweather has degraded more from his 130 form from 1998-2001 then Pacquiao has from his 2006-2009 form as he jumped up the weight classes... I probably consider those times to be the "primes" of their career both for what they accomplished and how peaked most of their skills were.

Even though Pac has lost by 1pko, which can happen to anyone, I see Floyd slowing down more than him and not looking nearly as sharp. Fighting someone like Maidana whose slow as fuk, doesn't require much speed or sharpness and believe he made floyd look much better than he really is right now. But I could see it, floyd's movements, reaction time, etc, is slowing. Pac is the wrong guy to fight for him right now.

Mayweather has been in less wars. Has been in with weaker competition. Started professionally at an older age. He didn't starve himself early in his career to make weight either.

A question I have though. How many great swarmers and volume punchers have been great past age 36. Manny has a young man's style.

How can anybody know who is going to win the fight, until after it is over. Nobody can win a decision against Void in Vegas, Marquez, Mosley and others such as Holyfield has said that. Holyfield said that boxing is crooked.................
