How many fighters on par with Mayweather's class, and Lara's defense has Usyk fought?

Usyk has not fought anyone near the elusiveness of Lara (straight running) and, specially, Mayweather. I'd like to see how he looks. He'll never even have to. Fury is the only elusive top fighter at HW, and he's a giant. Usyk will be faster and have a bigger target.

Footwork is not all there's to boxing and he's not automatically worse than Usyk because he's got worse footwork.

I think at the end of the day, were all going to have to wait and see how he does against the big boys in the HW division, to even gauge how more technically skilled he is over Canelo.. because wut if he gets knocked out in a few fights, what then? Lol.. will his chin still be better than canelos too? Man

    Usyk by far

But to be fair it's not quite as far as the gulf between them is in terms of personality and charisma. The Usyk God could donate 99.9% of his charisma and personality to charity and he'd still be a billion times more interesting, funny, and charismatic than the insipid ginger toad. I've honestly seen mannequins with more personality than Clenelo.

It'd be genuinely interesting to see who the most devoted cinnamon slurpers think does have 'more skill' than Canelo, either now or from history. Prob no-one.

Actually he has, Mchunu is so elusive, he was barely touched by Lebedev, Durodola, Oosthuizen and Chambers. Was he straight up running like Lara? No, but did Canelo straight up beat Lara? No. And he didn't come close to beating Mayweather.

So technically, Usyk is the only one of the two that faced and definitively beat a slick fighter. By stoppage.

Usyk unified at CW, something Canelo has never done in any division. He’s stepping up to HW and giving up 30+lbs and massive size to the top guys. Granted, he hasn’t fought the top guys yet but that’s the plan. We will see how far his skill takes him. He doesn’t have the punching power or length/size of any top HW and will have to rely on his skill. Okay, he probably has more power than Fury but Fury is a giant and has advantages in other areas. Every HW belt holder has a major advantage over Usyk. Unlike Canelo, Usyk is going after top belt holders at HW. He’s not going there to cherry pick an old guy and run back to CW, and Usyk isn’t forcing these guys to adhere to a max rehydration limit. At least that’s not the plan going into HW.

Canelo looks to be a natural SMW who starved down to 155-160 and bulked up to 168-175. He doesn’t look smaller at 175. He cherry picked a minor belt at 168 against Fielding, avoiding top opponents, cherry picked a shot and (Rehydration clause) weight drained Kov at 175 before scurrying down to the lower weights. He wants no part of a fight with the top dog Beterbiev. Saying he stepped up is a farce. It’s all marketing because the guy he beat was not close to tops in the division. Kov was shot and it showed.

Even if the Usyk experiment at HW is unsuccessful, it doesn’t mean he has inferior skills. He’s taking a legit difficult route, versus the cherry picking route that Canelo took. Canelo has advantages in every fight, judges/venue, PEDs, hydration clauses, cherry picked opponents at 168-175, etc. Usyk is fighting much bigger, prime guys guys and plans to fight the best as he did at cruiser. Canelo is taking the easier route using smoke and mirrors. If he beats the top guys at 168 or fights guys with no rehydration clauses and wins convincingly, he may have a legit argument. It appears this is not his plan.

Plus, Usyk has never needed questionable judging to win fights like Canelo. He just beats guys with his Superior skill and he has a way better gastank than Canelo.

    The new Boogeyman........Usyk

Cleaned out the Cruisewrweights? LOL, a bunch of nobodies nobody watches and nobody cares about......C level Bellboy lit him up til he gassed........but naturally he showed he "amazing " skill against the threat of all threats, the Ghost of all Dragons the mighty Witherspoon.....

Nothing new here, after the tomato can crushers GGG and Kova the next bandwagon to jump on is Usyk......when he gets laid out at Heavy time to jump ship again for the next Euro Hype, rinse and repeat.

Remember, GGG is ko'ing Heavies in sparring.........those nut huggers are something else.

BTW, Canelo is more skilled and has the resume to prove it, he actually fought meaningful fights and aint got no Witherspoons on his record in the last 10 years.....

I wont never stop to repeat it. Usyk and Robinson have the highest IQ ring ever imo.

Canelo can have maximum a B plan. Hes a fighter with a limited vision that Bivol exposed. Fighters instead like Robinson and Usyk have at least a C, a D, and a E plan to win when they notice they are losing too much rounds.

    Thats the main difference.

Clearly Usyk. Canelo was punked by GGG, Bivol & Floyd.. in fact there are numerous fights where he was getting out boxed such as Khan Plant and Saunders
