Riogondeaux is simply more skilled, and I'm a fan of Lomachenko. They're both the real deal and Loma also should in my opinion be P4P top 10 already

Rigo is the more skilled, which is why Arum fears putting Lomo in the ring with him.

Based off the eye test, I'd say Loma is more well-rounded. But I don't think there is a better outside fighter than Rigo.

Even with the short resume, with the eye test his skillset is readily apparent.

You can't go wrong with either IMO that's what made this fight so special.

Lomachenko is, as Kellerman says, on the "next level of skill" from 99% of contemporaries.

Rigondeaux is, however, in the 1% on the broader historical timeline.

They're skilled in different areas, both the best at what they do.

IB, what do you think - which of the current active fighters are on the same level as Rigo or Loma in terms of skills?

Usyk and Chocolatito, followed by Ward. Golovkin & Crawford both fall a bit short but they're closer than most.

Erislandy Lara is a bigger, lower-rent version of Rigondeaux IMO. He's up there, in pure skills p4p top 15.

You think Usyk is more skilled than GGG and Ward? I mean I'm high on Usyk too and do believe he'll become a two division world champ in next 5 years but never thought that high.

The way he was handling top world class super heavyweights in amateur international competition, treating most of them much the same way that, say, Omar Andres Narvaez treats most of his title challengers - yeah. Lomachenko, Rigondeaux, Golovkin and Usyk are birds of a feather in terms of their amateur greatness. The race is on to see who can accomplish what now that all of them have turned over. In terms of pure skill, though, yeah, he's already there.

    Yes.

For more evidence everyone should watch Usyk fights vs Mejidov and Nistor (two guys who beat future HW superstar Joshua). And Usyk didn't even have any experience against big guys coming into these fights.

Usyk vs Medhzidov, Modugno, Nistor and Joyce were very, very impressive, yeah. For those of us who follow Usyk closely, there's no doubt he could unify cruiser right now. The only remaining question here is the soft gloves of WSB. If his chin holds up against bigger guys in the pro ranks as well, he's the #1 heir apparent of Klitschko.
