if your definition of being washed up is how far you are from the prime version of yourself, the answer is clearly roy jones... i feel like casamayor is still a REASONABLE semblance of the fighter that was undefeated up through the freitas fight... having said that, this is only due to the fact that the prime version of roy was one of the greatest fighters ever (p4p, h2h, etc, not necessarily based on resume or accomplishments) whereas casamayor in his prime was a tough crafty fighter who won a lot of different ways, but you never watched him and thought HOLY **** THIS GUY MAY BE THE BEST EVER
Since when is Katsidis a world class fighter at lightweight? Which of his wins elevated him to this class?
RJJ is more shot about 3x more shot. he's already been KOed, plus his win streak were against not so good opponents. Casa is still a world class operator, still has that timing and craftiness to put out a young strong fighter in katsidis even KOed him thats whats impressive.
:good Wouldnt go as far as to say RJJ is shot, but he's certainly well past his peak but Casa can still call himself a top LW
Roy is definitely more shot, but I don't think the difference is as huge as some others on here do. Casamayor has a style that's better suited for an old fighter anyways. I would favor Roy to blow out Katsidis in a P4P matchup though.. I don't think he would struggle as much as Casamayor did.
I'm hopping on the Cobra bandwagon. As far as I'm concerned this isn't even close. Thankfully, it appears the segment of ESB that bothers with polls agrees wholeheartedly.
Casa got outboxed by Santa Cruz who was fighting the wrong way round Roy will never lose to someone of that level.
