Other then Pac because I don't think it will happen and I don't care anymore, I don't think May or Pac even care if they fight anymore for that matter.. BUT I still believe Floyd is the most skilled fighter in the world and here is a few names I'd like to see him fight other then Pac..... 1) Sergio Martinez- YES I know this guy's name is slightly intimidating to both Mayweather and Pacquiao fans (even if they won't admit it) and rightfully so.. Sergio is a fast, powerful, elusive striker with superb conditioning who can both box and brawl. I don't believe the myth that he is too big, especially not for May who seemed to be thicker then ever. A catchweight of 150 is feasable for Floyd. 2) Winner of Cotto/Margarito fight- Ok I know Pac beat them both and I know that they're both Arum fighters both as a fan I'd love to see May take on any of these guys. They are both great fighters of this generation and for reasons beyond our control we never get a chance to see them face IMO the BEST fighter of this generation. Plus they are natural welters. 3) Amir Khan- Tall lightweight who shouldn't who should'nt have a problem making 147 or a catchweight close to it. Amir is still green much like Ortiz but he is way more talented. Quick hands, long reach, good movement, great trainer.. Interesting oppenent. 4) Tim Bradley- Undefeated, quick hands, good movement, good IQ. A little short but he is bulky. 5) Andre Berto- Because why not?.. IMO he is better then Ortiz and if they had a rematch he would be victorious. Still not in Floyds class but other then maybe Pac and Martinez no one is. So other then Pac who do you think should be #43? :bbb
I watched the british telecast of the Mayweather/Ortiz fight with Amir Khan and he made some good points saying you have to try beating Mayweather at his own game using intelligence, timely shots and movement, he even went as far as to say he has a better chance at beating Mayweather then Pac does. I think mentally he seems confident but I think he should fight Bradley and at least one true Welterweight (Possibly Victor Ortiz) before he signs on to fight Floyd.
I think he will be looking closely at the Khan-Peterson fight, hoping it's close but with Khan winning. I think if Peterson goes the distance but shows well against Khan, Floyd will offer him the fight. If Khan blows Peterson away, or gets an easy ko, Floyd will just say he was "enjoying the fight", with no intentions. I think he uses Peterson as a barometer for his own style. He knows that if a fighter can barely beat Peterson, his own risk is small against that fighter.
Number #43 will be the Judge and he'll gonna get KO'd sent to jail for 4 years. In retrospect, Floyd would love it. Cause that means 4 years of getting his ass whoop by big black w1ggas.
