What do you guys think? He stated he is going back to 154 or 160. While he did look bad at 170, i still think that the consensus around the boxing world is that no one wants a piece of this guy at 160 or 154. I don't see a guy like DLH even thinking about getting in their with Wright which i'm sure Wright would love. Who do you guys think is a REALISTIC possibility for his next fight? I doubt Wright wants any tune up fights at his age.
Vernon could go up tp 160 and fight Wright. It would be big for Vernon, and it also gives Winky a chance to prove Manny Steward wrong. Winky by Wide UD.
Yes, i think that is definitely a possibility. Forrest looked great against Baldomir and he's definitely a name. And i don't think Forrest is scared to fight anyone at his weight. That could be a good one.
DLH said he would never fight Winky. Of course, he also said he would never fight BHOP, PBF, or Vargas, so there you have it. He could also fight the winner of Pavlik-Taylor, although with the rematch clause, and Taylor moving to 168, this may be a problem. Arthur Abraham could make his US debut against Winky:think
I don't see Jermain moving to 168, there is no reason to, he said that he can still make 160 comfortably, so why move? There is really no reason at all. 160 is a deeper class than 168. Now saying all of that, Winky should come back down to fight in the 160 weight class, and if Jermain wins there will not be a Pavlik rematch, and Winky should get his rematch.
His coach Ozell Nelson has openly stated that he cannot make 160 anymore after this fight, as has his promotoer, Lou Dibella. There is a contract stating that If Pavlik wins, the rematch takes place at 166lbs. He lied about being able to make weight comfortably. :deal
