Who is overrated more..Froch or Bute?

I don't really want to get into who is overrated because these things just go in circles and never achieve anything.

I would just say you are being somewhat harsh on Bute's firepower IMO. Kessler didn't deter Andrade either. So that is two of the better 168lb'ers that have failed to stop him in his tracks...perhaps it simply says more about Andrade's durability? Who else would stop Andrade?

Bute has knocked out most of his opponents, my criticism would be he's a little slow to finish guys at times.

 

I wish I could vote for a tie both fighters are overrated.

 

both are overrated by their fans but once again, i don't blame the fighters. both are ranked by ring EXACTLY where they should be. bute doesn't **** talk anyone and shouldn't get flack for what some people (russ anber here in canada) have to say about him. as for froch, he's selling himself. he has no real charisma so he talks a lot to get attention but i think most people see him for what he is: a big puncher with some decent skills who is nearing the top of his division.

 

How does Bute have no power? It's underrated if anything. He pretty much killed Berrio, has legit KDs against two tough guys known for granite chins (Andrade and Bika) and did a number on Zuniga.

It's underrated if anything.

Froch has wins over the former UD middleweight champ close to his prime + win over the light heavy Champ.

Froch is the better fighter.

Bute isnt over rated because u would be stupid to even rate him

 

Froch easily. Once he fights a guy who can actually box and move, he will look foolish.

Froch has a decent chin, good power and great heart - THOSE are his attributes.

I wouldent say Froch is overrated becuz he proved himself when he knocked out a "PRIME" Top fighter Jermain Taylor.....I wouldent say Bute is overrated either becuz i neva hear nobody hyping him up or saying hes the best!! Now if u want to know whos very overrated,The Fraud From Wales is your man

I think you're right. I also think that there are 2 or 3 guys who could just run right over him due to his poor defense and footwork.
