He's beaten Russell Jr and Walters in his first 8 fights. Two of the best fighters in the two weight classes he's campaigned in. I'm not sure how much better a start a fighter can have.
GGG then Loma for me... Until Loma gets more wins on his record. Ward at SMW was up there but this Ward is too dirty and stacks the odds too much in his favour for his fights...
I've never thought he has chin issues, and the shot that rocked him against Ward confirmed that, it was as flush as flush can get, and if the proper shot catches you anyone can be KO'd even by a featherfist, Ward put is whole body into it with as much torque as I've ever seen him hit someone with, and Kovalev remained standing, and IMO recovered well from the head shot, its his body that's clearly the issue.
Lomo is nowhere near #1.. Not even close. You have to have wins against other p4p ranked fighters to be ranked #1. He's definitely top 10 , just #1 is pure fanboyism. Floyd didn't become p4p #1 till 30+ fights after he had beaten Corales , Castilio , Manfredy , Hernandez , Gatti , Asgustus .
He's resume is already better than guys like Crawford, sure he hasn't got as many wins in the vain of Froch, Kessler and Kovalev that Ward has but obviously there is time. I just think that everything equal Lomachenko beats Ward 9 times out of 10.
How would that win advance GGG past Ward KOing Kovalev? Ward has a bunch of other wins besides that are lesser but very good. GGG? Not so much. Without Kovalev, Ward's resume would still be as good (or very close to it) as GGG's with a Canelo victory.
Which one of those fighters where P4P ranked? Also if Lomo is no where near number 1 p4p and I've no problem with that as P4P is subjective and tbh it depends on what you like etc.....if he's no where near, firstly where would you 4ank him and secondly who do you have above him?
Corales was ranked on the p4p list. Lomo is ranked #5 but the reason he's nowhere near #1 is because he'd have to surpass Wards resume and thats not achievable anytime soon.
Based on resume: Andre Ward Based on skills: Vasyl Lomachenko From September 17: the winner of GGG-Canelo if it dont gets very close or controversial
I wonder how I actually see it Golovkin Lomachenko Crawford Ward Gonzalez Probably something like that. Maybe Rigo as well but his opposition of late is questionable.
Because I think Ward got a complete gift in their first fight and you probably already know my opinion on the second fight.
