Who is physically stronger, Makhmudov, Fury, Zhang or Joyce

Fury would probably be the weakest of the 4 in the gym but in the ring he's the only one that one uses his size and weight as a method to break down an opponent and control his opponent and two he's the only one that actually had the technical skills to use his size and weight.

Strength in the ring just like strength in the gym has a big technical component. In the gym if you don't have the correct technique to perform a certain lift you won't be able to lift as much as you should and also in the ring if you don't have the technique to utilise your physical advantages you won't be able to physically dominate a fighter in the ring and in fact if you don't have the techniques you won't even try to because you lack the knowledge to and it simply won't be a part of your style, this is one area where I think Joyce really needs to improve, he's clearly huge and strong but it's a weapon in the ring he's never learned to use.

 

Makhmudov is stronger than all of them.

You see that Usyk is physically stronger than the likes of Dubois and AJ even though they have 20 or 30lbs on him.

Eastern Europeans are physically superior to the weak western fighters.

Makmudov is easily the strongest, then I would say Zhang

Joyce and Fury are last by a long way

 

Seen Fury deadlift 250kg relatively easily (poor form though)

Doubt the others are much stronger than that in the gym

 

I think Fury mentally broke Wilder before their second fight when he shoved Wilder all across the stage during the weigh in. Fury was seriously strong before that fight.

He has the largest frame, gargantuan body and thick bones. He probably generates more power than others. It doesn't matter others have more muscle mass.
