You are so out of touch due to your manlove for bodybuilders.

Brock is stronger than Overeem, end of story.

Muscles = strength, but muscles built through powerful movements build real strength.

There is a reason football players, wreslters, oly lifters, and powerlifters are all much much stronger than bodybuilders.

Building up the size of a muscle through bodybuilding routines is not the best way to get strong, period.

Did I say anything about steroids? Of course he was.

Despite your clearly sexual love of men in oil and speedos, Bodybuilders are not nearly as strong as powerlifters.

Would you bet on Rogers beatin Carwin? If so, open a bookshop, please.

Carwin would ****ing wipe the floor with Rogers. Rogers was, unquestionably, the WORST fighter to ever get any chance at a title, the absolute worst, he is not good.

You sir are a complete tool. This post is sooo worthless its not even worth getting into but il entertain it just for a few moments to amuse myself.

Theres a slew of bodybuilders who cross over and do both sports or train in both disciplines. Sven Carlsen, Ronnie Coleman, Johnny Jackson, Branch Warren, Chris Cormier to name but a few. They are WELL respected in BB and powerlifting circles. Granted they are different disciplines but your manlove of wrestlers as well as your esoteric knowledge on what constitutes a powerlifting or bodybuilding muscle doesnt enable you to understand a simple concept that muscles = strength.

And do those men continue doing bodybuilding routines, or switch to powerlifting routines?

The muscles are obviously the same, but a bodybuilder is going to have less strength out of a similar amount of muscle due to a large number of factors.

Hmm Rogers Vs Carwin. I think you got me there.. One minute..

Both have roughly the same amount of fights - CHECK.
Both have wins over former UFC champions - CHECK.
Both are roughly the same height and weight - CHECK.
Both have heavy hands albeit Rogers has the better KO percentage - CHECK.

So whats the difference between the two?

O i know!!! Carwins in the UFC!!! And he's a wrestler! Yes how underserving of Rogers to get a shot at Fedor. But 2 -1 Brock was far more deserving than Carwin, JDS, Cain, Werdum, Kongo ... :smooch

The difference between the two is one is miles better, to anybody with a set of eyes and a brain.

If you watch Rogers fight, and watch Carwin fight, it isn't even a comparison.

Johnny Jackson and Branch Warren are professional Bodybuilders and powerlifters. There known in all BB and PL circles as one of the strongest men in both disciplines.

I met Sven Carlsen at the Seni Expo he was in excellent shape and continues to train in both disciplines.

And strength is strength. It can only be quantified by how much weight your capable of shifting. Technique aside a lb of muscle is a lb of muscle irrespective of "how" its trained.

Lesnar's always been a naturally huge person even before the PEDs, he's a naturally thick and strong person and it was amplified during the WWE phase. He grew into his size and strength and Overeem surged into it with the recent roid use, and I think that's a big factor here. It's the same as someone like Fedor who spent so long in sambo throwing people and getting natural strength, he doesn't look like much but is obviously strong and aware. I'm in no way trying to compare Brock and Fedor as fighters but you get the idea.

Rogers is a middle class version of Kimbo Slice.

Brock is overall stronger. Overeem is overall more skilled.

I take Overeem in this one, rd 1 Ko via Kicks.

    Its not even close

Lesnar is the strongest HW on the planet , Overeem looks strong but is way way below Lesnar's level , Lesnar not only has a superior size advantage on the majority of HW's but also has the strength to match , that is because of his wrestling background , mma fighters who dont have a wrestling base or dont wrestle (i.e. on a regular basis with top level wrestlers for a number of years) you just cant compete with that sort of strength , wrestlers due to the nature of the core body strength you develop from wrestling are just stronger men and Lesnar is one of the most decorated wrestlers in MMA to date , he's way way stronger than Overeem .

meh.. i wanna nuthug overeem because he looks like the terminator but this is a good post. i do think overeem juicing and powerlifting makes him a force to be reckoned with though. he really did toss rodgers like he was made of paper, watch he fight on youtube
