    My mind believes PBF is going to win, but my heart believes JMM is going to win.

    Floyd fights differently from Juan Diaz. He is too "safety first" conscious to press JMM like Diaz did. Floyd will circle around and potshot JMM from a safe distance using his reach advantage to the maximum because he knows how dangerous Marquez is being one of the best counterpunchers of this era.

    From the thread I created --> http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=151278

    The following people here give JMM more than 50% chance of defeating PBF:

    buffordtj, carpi, Critic, Devildoc, DobyZhee, duranimal, EL MATADOR13, Hatesrats, jaois138, MexicanMuscle, RealBoxing, Stinky gloves, superbert07, zangetsu

    Nonsense.:patsch Do you even know boxing? How will JMM cope with PBF's defense he's never faced a guy as defensively sound as PBF? How will he cope with his counter-punching? How will he cope with his movement? How will he cope with his ring generalship? How will he cope with PBF's reach advantage? How will he cope with PBF's speed? How much will the weight gain slow JMM down? JMM still has a lot of unanswered questions here and PBF has fewer. PBF is the smart pick here.:deal

    PBF doesn't need to pot shot JMM to win he's the stronger man here. He can stand right in front of him make him miss and make him pay. He's the superior boxer here and it will become apparent to non-believers like yourself on September 19th.:deal

    JMM, even if he loses. I admit the odds are stacked against him, but as long as he gives a good showing win or lose, he will have made me proud.

    He coped with Pac's - and I reckon Pac is faster. JMM's hand speed is very underrated, too, and he throws fast combos, not just the odd potshot. Watch the finishing combination in the Diaz fight. PBF has a size advantage, but not much of one. He's a small welter who could probabkly still make 140. I'm picking Marquez by UD. He'll outwork Floyd and pick up the points. Floyd's punch output is pretty low.

    JMM has a much higher KO rate than Floyd's, his power should be gauged properly as JMM has proven his ability to carry his power to higher weight.
    I agree that speed goes to Floyd but JMM has underrated handspeed which had been competitive against a speed demon named Pacquiao. Counter-punching goes to JMM who IMO is the best counterpucher at present. Floyd counters with one or two punches at a time, JMM counters with 4-5 punch combinations with great accuracy. Floyd is better defensively but JMM is better offensively. Pure defense doesn't win fights but pure offense does.
    Floyd's chin maybe better but JMM has proven his resiliency which even up in this area. Heart is where JMM has a decisive advantage. JMM's huge heart was very evident in his fights against Pacquiao, Barrera, Casamayor and Diaz. I am a big Pacquiao fan and I want him to be the first to beat Mayweather, unfortunately, JMM may beat him to it. JMM by late rounds stoppage.

    Floyd obviously thought this way that's why he readily accepted this fight but he's in for a surprise. JMM will come to the fight a few pounds above 140 so just a few pounds will seperate them as Floyd usually fights at 147-148. Other than reach, Floyd will not really enjoy a decisive size advantage. Floyd actually has more problems coming to the fight... his brittle hands that can take away the power in his punches, his rib injury which could mean that his body is becoming fragile and ring rustiness due to prolonged inactivity. It is indeed interesting to see how the famous "superior" abilities of Floyd would manifest against a great fighter like JMM.

    I agree with you except that I think JMM stops Floyd in later rounds. With Floyd's brittle hands, suspected fragile body and rustiness due to inactivity, he is a ripe cherry.

    JMM is solid and a good fighter, but a little overrated compared to Barrera and Pacman and Morales. He was not as good as they were, but he is linked to them. Mayweather is better than Marquez and does everything better. And he is naturally bigger. Mayweather will win a decision.

    The answer to the highlighted questions above is very simple - don't attack... Let PBF do the attacking or wait for PBF to make the 1st move but since PBF will not do that too then this will lead to a very boring fight between 2 master counterpunchers who will be waiting on each other to make the 1st move...

    Since PBF has all the advantages, I predict PBF will cruise to a safe, boring decision win...
