I’m picking Povetkin. I never bet though. Unless AJ really hurts him early in the first 2 rounds I believe Povetkin will be a nightmare and win

I will be cheering for Povetkin and I think he has a very real chance of winning.

However, I have to favour Joshua right now.

Povetkin is pushing 40, and Joshua is huge and young. Worse, AJ's come on leaps and bounds technically, so the holes in his game are much smaller. There's the Wlad blueprint to work off of, and Povetkin's fundamental flaw in that fight was that he's 6'2 and not 6'5. Nothing can be done about that.

While I think Povetkin is better than AJ p4p, and that he may be able to out box him, the nail in the coffin is that AJ is the money man and the fight is in England. So Sasha either has to give him a complete drubbing or he has to KO him to win. Those are steep odds.

On the plus side for Pov Takam's movement gave him a few problems and Povetkin is both better at slipping than Takam and he hits harder and more accurately. Povetkin's booming overhand right is a powerful weapon against tall fighters and his left hook is simply lethal.

On the plus side for Joshua he has a simply marvellous uppercut and with Povetkin's trick of leaping in to fire off combinations, it might prove decisive.

I'm going to say 60-40 to AJ with the odds dropping to 70-30 taking into account where the fight is being held.

If Pov is 8-1 underdog, that's a good bet to take, if I were so inclined.

    Holding thumbs for Sasha.

Joshua is a very good fighter. He should jab and learn in this fight. Use the jab and set him up and knock him out. I saw he stops Povetkin in 5 or 6. Wilder would probably either stop him in 2 or get knocked out in 3..

Picking this version of Povetkin? Nope... He got wobbled by Price for crying out loud.
I would have picked 2014 to 2016 Pov as a slight favorite over Joshua, but not this version.

I will put some pretend money on him here on this site. As he certainly has a chance.

someone said a draw, and i would be inclined to agree if this was 8 years ago.

But Chubby's tank will let him down now hes 40, in the championship rounds.

Good to see you still posting on here.

Povetkin has a really good chance of winning as long as he doesn’t walk on to anything big. I hope AJ has learnt from those losses to the likes of nistor otherwise things could get very interesting

I got Pov by KO, it's the week for the failed drug test boxers to win

I'm quite a high roller so put £5 on for Povetkin to win at 7/1. Don't think it will happen, but worth a little flutter.
