Oscar himself. As a 154 pound fighter he had no business calling out a lightweight that had just recently moved up from feather. He was trying to get himself an easy fight against someone he could bully around to retire on a high note and he paid the price. It was a stupid fight to take since a win would have gotten him no credit anyway

His team primarily, as the whole thing was mismanged.

But Oscar has some responsibility, he had no buisness making 147 or fighting Pacquiao at that stage in his career.

Oscar's team, which includes Oscar himself. they are total idiot. They went way too low way too early in training camp. They also tried to rehydrate after the unofficial weigh-in so that people would not know his true ring weight. Thats why Oscar had fresh IV marks on his arms when he entered the ring. Karma is a b*tch

he could of weighed in at 160 and it would of made no difference, he ain't got the reflexes or the timing to deal with Pac's speed and agression

I've always wondered what they were thinking making Oscar weigh 147 weeks before the fight, did they want him to be lighter and faster or did they want to be able to make it a "good win" for Oscar since he didn't outweight Pac?

Oscar was done before the weigh in. He had no fight or grit left in him. He was at 150 a few months earlier for Forbes. And the thing that no one talks about is the rematch between him and Floyd was to be at welter for the championship. So he was coming down regardless.

Maybe they weren't sure he could make the weight and did too much too soon

Obama should be blame for that too......:rofl

PS...It was Oscar's decision to take the fight so he cant only blame himself, just like he can only blame himself for running for the last 4 rounds of the fight on 9/18/1999......:nut

DelaHoya was to blame. It was a stupid fight to make, he'd have struggled to be competetive at 154lb at this stage of his career. He got what he deserved for making a fight against a lightweight for money.

Oscar's Ego is to blame, so I voted for Oscar himself.
