you spot on about him being one of the great entertainers. but great fighter.........give me a break

he thought some of the best fighters at featherweight but most of them were washed up when fought them.

tom jonson and wilfredo vasquez were totally shot when they fought. johnson was lucky to come through a couple of fights before naz and Vasquez got beat on the holyfield mooorer undercard but was gifted a decision
Vasquez was 38 years old for christ sake and johnson was 33 years old

don't make me laugh about the CESAR SOTO fight. that was not boxing. wwf wrestelers don't do as much wrestling as what naz did in that fight

Mccullogh was only a super bantamweight. ingle was a solid but far from a true world champion (someone who would of been champ in the good old days of one or two world titles)

bungu hadn't fought in nearly two years and had no pedigree at featherweight

medina was anoter example of how continental champs at best can be world champs in the modern era. same with that steve robinson

Kevin kelly was still a force when naz fought him and should of beat naz if he had of boxed more and not tried for the ko

Naz dodged real young challengers like espinosa, JMM, dereck gainer, freddie norwood. espinosa knocked out kennedy mckinney in 2 round in early 1998. there was talk of a mckinney naz fight before that fight

PLEASE don't give me the **** about these guys avoiding naz. thats ****ing Bull****. because of his drawing power naz could of fought anyone he wanted at the click of a finger. he was a huge draw

Say what you want about Naz but the guy knew how to entertain, I dont know any boxer around today that could of pulled off that entrance

 

cos a guy is champion it does not mean they are not on the shot side. look at holyfield. he held a title when he was well shot

i never said that hamed dodged mckinney. espinosa beat cesar soto in 1996 and soto got revenge. nobody should of won that fight between naz and soto. that was a ****ing disgrace. absolutely terrible fight

espinosa was a champion for 4 of hameds championsip years and he dodged him like the plague.

you have got a point about gainer. hamed beat kevin kelly who beat gainer

freddie norwood was a good young fighter who naz should of fought if he wanted to claim greatness.

For your information naz relinquished the IBF title so that he did not have to fight JMM.

if naz fought more young and worty challengers it would of helped convince the doubters more that he was a potentially great fighter. for me he was a well matched good fighter with great power and some unique skills

 

naz would of give up the wba title if he had to fight norwood any way. so its good they stripped him

 

he was big for featherweight despite lacking height

mike tyson was small in height for a heavyweight but physique wise he was a big and strong heavyweight

i remember all of naseems reign and i don't remember anybody talking about how he should drop down to featherweight. the talk was always of how big and strong hamed was for a featherweight

alll through his reign there was talk of him going up to super featherwight and figting one of the stars at that weight
