Or how about Joshua failing to put Takam to sleep after landing everything on him? Same Takam put to sleep by a 6 foot 1, blown up cruiser weight / light heavyweight in Alexander Povetkin? Was he still learning then too? Or is it more a case of Joshua's level being exposed and found out to not be that good?

If anything, Joshua looks to have declined more and more after each fight. The fact that he went 10 rounds against a total scrub like Takam without being able to put him to sleep, shows how crap he really is.

When did I mention anything about 'feather fistedness'? Truth is, both Joshua and Wilder have overrated power. David Price arguably hits harder than both. And by quite a big margin too. Same with Mariusz Wach who also arguably hits harder.

Price literally put Audley Harrison to sleep with clean punches in just the first round. Whilst Wilder landed some windmill rabbit punches and other illegal punches and only got a premature stoppage, failing to KO Harrison as brutally as Price did.

Price literally dropped Sprott for the 10 count whilst Joshua needed a standing stoppage after Sprott was able to get back up from a knockdown. Something he could not do against Price.

 

Wilder isn't going anywhere and he isn't getting any worse so I can't think of a better fight for Joshua than Povetkin.

He's a little past prime now , but he still has the skills and gas left in the tank to be dangerous.
And it should make for a great action fight due to his come forward aggressive style.

This a great fight and a PPV purchase without a doubt.

 

Joshua never needed any outside interference to win a fight.
