Phil Davis: First fight possible. But Davis had a Knee injury and cannot fight.
Tito Ortiz: Turned down offer. Just fought a week ago.
Loyoto Machida: Turned down offer. Says too short of notice to be prepared and show a good fight.

Ricardo Arona would be the best thing ever.

In reality it'll probably be Franklin.

It won't be Franklin. If I was to bet, I'd put my money on Tito.

They will throw enough money at Tito to make him take the fight. He is the only top guy in fighting shape who doesn't have a fight scheduled. The UFC will force his hand to save the event.

They should throw out Sexyama, have Franklin rematch Belfort at catchweight and have Rashad fight Lil Nog.

Or **** it, see if Belfort wants to fight up at Lt Heavy, stop cutting weight, and knock Rashad the **** out.

Just Saw on Sherdog that Dana White Twitted about Tito accepting the fight!

Big props to Tito for stepping up to the plate.

I'd be pretty interesting if Tito edged out a decision in this fight. I'd like to see him get a Couture-style, undesired title shot and have his skull cracked open for real by Jones.

I'm pumped for this fight. I think its the best fight that can be made. Rashad doesn't ever seem to push a hard pace. I'd love to know if Tito got back in the gym. He's got a week of fight camp and then he'll probably cut hard.

The UFC are by far the best show savers in any sport.

Edit: I looked at the numbers and Tito won't be so bad.

July 2nd - he beat Bader
July 12th - he is aware of stepping in for Davis
    August 6th - fight time

He would have about 10 days off and then he'll have more than 3 weeks to get back into it. The 10 days off after a hard camp might have done him a favour.

Might be a good fight and good time for Ortiz to put himself within 1 win of a title shot!
