Id lke to see him fight Povetkin but Ruiz wont as he wants Valuevs fat hairy body slobbering all over him again.
Ruiz is a high risk low reward fighter. Not a lot of people did beat him convincingly and he makes all fight close and ugly.
Povetkin is a set for a title shot as long as he wins his next match in the Haye/Valuev undercard. He'll probably fight Boystov or Povetkin.
Whoever it is, I hope he knocks that cheating clubfighter out and rids the division of him and his disgraceful antics.
Most certainly Ruiz only accepted to step aside if he could be on the undercard fighting VERY beatable opposition. Most likely a bum without a punch, so Ruiz can handily beat him and then fight the mandatory shot against the winner of Haye - Valuev.
Ruiz only fights for the title. That guy is a WBA shot waiting to happen. ALl he has to do is fart and he gets a title shot. Like the poster said above, Ruiz hasn't been beaten convincingly since Roy Jones, back in 03. Al of his losses were either Split or Majority Decisions.
Sprott sounds about right as in "very beatable". Plus he'd be somewhat of interest to the UK viewers who will tune in for the main bout of the evening.
That's what connections to powerful promoters will do for you. It's been the story of Ruiz's misbegotten career. He is the poster boy for boxing corruption.
