Cotto is definitely one of the best but not the best, the best was Mosley and they picked Cotto instead of Mosley. They = TOP RANK/Bob Arum.

Arum already lost two of his major stars to Goldenboy, Pavlik and Concreto, in fights they were EXPECTED to win, he's NOT taking similar risks for a while. No, it has nothing to do with him thinking Pac would lose or any of that, it's called calculated risk. Putting him against Cotto secures more good fights for guys in his stable whoever wins.

Why is it difficult for this to cross the minds of idiots?, this isn't the first time Arum or any promoter/manager did this.

I agree. Even before Floyd decided to come back, we all knew this was coming.

    Is Pac ducking Money?

    I think not.

Could you imagine how the media and fans would act if floyd was the one who said he wasn't gonna fight manny and instead run for congress...he would be laughed at and the pac fans would say he is "ducking" pac or "avoiding" the big fights...

Floyd is held to hire standards than other fighters

Some of the hate he gets is ridiculous but when you imply that you're better than Ali and SRR and say you are the greatest of all time, people expect high standards.

Amazing how before the fight that Pac was being questioned if he could handle a 135 pounder than after the fight, he cherrypicked someone. David Diaz may be slow but there is one thing he does, consistently win fights. The other Diaz lost several fights already, yet still considered better than David.

Becuase your boy has alraedy a long precedent. How many years has Floyd been a welterweight? 2005 - present. How Many top welterweights did he fight? none, unless you consider Mitchell, Judah, Baldomir, ODLH the cream of the crop. No Cotto, Mosley, Margarito,

And when you claim to be better than SRL or SRR, then you have to "step up to the plate" as what Mayweather also said.

Sorry but so far, Mayweather did not step up to the plate. And his delusional fans still view his resume like he is a fighter at 130.

Mayweather may be the greatest fighter to ever lace up the gloves, I will not dispute that. But how did we come to that conclusion if we have not seen his body of works. Floydettes probably based it on how fast he shadowboxes or how he moved the bag, or how fast he is in the speedball, because without a resume, that is actually what it is!

If Pac vs. Mayweather will not be made because as some floydettes claim Pac is ducking (for the sake of arguments, I will concur), then there are other fish to fry. If Pac is considering Foreman, a 154 pounder, Mayeather should not consider Hatton. Fight Mosley, or Cotto, or Berto, or even Margarito, and not JMM, for chiristsake. Do not end up like JMM whose legacy and career path is always tied to what Pac is going to do or doing or not going to do. Like when Pac moved up in weights, he also moved up even knowing well that his body does not adjust well in hiugher divisions. He could have solidified his own legacy by cleaning up a division, say 130 or 135.

Floyd is not held on higher standard, people are just waiting for him to step up to the plate. Fighting JMM might make you orgasmic but many posters would not.
