I’ve decided i’m Staying up until 4:30am to watch the fight, not done this since Wilder vs Ortiz, and ruins my next few days, but fingers crossed it is worth it. Just interested who is staying up to watch the fight. Would like to get a idea how many are put off by the fight being hosted in the USA(being on very late), and it being PPV. Honest votes only please. If you are not staying up to watch it give your reason why. Thank you.
It won't start until at least 5am. The undercard is pretty poor. So ill have an early night and get up at 5am bright , alert and ready to watch the gypsy warrior take Windmill to school.
I’ll stay up and watch it. I’m from Denmark so it will be 5:30 in the morning and... I don’t know, man. Something about those late fights just have their own vibe over here. I guess it’s something i got from my ole’ man. Stories about staying up late for Leonard-Hearns, Leonard-Hagler, Tyson-Holyfield etc. You get a chance to watch history in the making. So yeah, damn right I’ll be up!
I'm planning on setting my alarm and listening to the fight on radio. Not paying for the event this time. I enjoy Mike Costellos commentary. I think he has Andy Lee with him as co-commentator.
Sometimes it's hard staying up on the east coast the main events always start at like 11-12 on the east coast. That's dedication
Yep, i'll be staying up (uk time). When pumped for a fight i don't find it hard staying awake for it (even if beered up). Canelo vs GGG was easy.
Its just so damn late and the undercard isnt doing anything for me. Im going to be more likely saving the PPV money for Whyte Chisora and hopefully finding a way of watching it on Sunday morning before i stumble across the result. But as per usual the closer it gets the more its pulling me in. I wont know what im really going to do until late tomorrow night but i do struggle for a couple of days after an all nighter im not the animal i once was.
Mike Costellos is good, i dont enjoy Boxing on the radio but its better than nothing and 5 Live are pretty good with it.
It's not a bad compromise as I see it mate between staying up and paying and watching it on YouTube after the event. Still get that buzz that comes with it being live. Atmosphere comes across quite well on radio I find.
