Who is the “Tavern Brawl” “Street fight” “Straightener” GOAT here on Classic? What’s your case?

They’ve got to be pro boxers with reasonable careers you don’t get to pick say Fedor Emilanko if he had one boxing match lol. The recent Green fight has me curious… I’m tipping it’s likely Dempsey or Sullivan? one was essentially a professional tavern brawler at one point, both partook and both knew how to grapple. Just a bit of fun. Each staged fight is held on a generic street with little obstacles, besides obviously a hard floor to bump your head on and potentially die lol. Each “match” is an unarmed straightener in generic street wear.

 

Nah, guys from the Sulivan era knew how to work it bare handed and could just rag doll George through the pavement, for similar reasons Jack Dempsey would kill GF in the streets.

I think most people here are under the impression that grappling isn’t the apex predator of single combat, Liston for example would lose to Bud Crawford in a fight IMO.
