Dude whatever. I didn't write the book just stating what he said. You have no idea what kind of life this man had growing up or any other fighter for that matter. Like I said b4. At this point why not try acting like a man instead of a child. Plenty fighters I don't care for but you don't see me waiting to pounce and make a fool out of myself which you clearly are doing at this point. Grow up bro.

That’s not what it meant, it didn’t say the same guy at all just A guy a weekend. @robert ungurean is someone you could learn a lot from about boxing, brother we are all fans. There are guys here (Bob included) with real experience if you listened first you could learn things you’ll have a hard time finding anywhere else.

He was a Steve. Ironically the best streeter i ever saw was also a Steve.

I find a lot more are doing loads of gym and martial arts nowadays which obviously enhances their abilities.

If Holmes hadn't wanted to knock someone out in bars and/or in the street, every weekend for 40 consecutive weekends in his young days, he's certainly could have.

It's definitely not a question of capability, merely willingness.

I must tread carefully around anyone named Steve - lol. Good point - more have training, conditioning and greater strength going into street fights these days - if you haven’t got a bit of background, the romantic idea of closing your eyes, swinging and landing the Hail Mary one punch KO are much less likely. The Steve you’ve spoken to me of previously - absolute legend.

Absolute real life bad ass Mitchum. In good balance, he was also nailing some of the hottest actresses around - a lover and a fighter.

Apparently he gave Reynolds the slipper while he was down also. When questioned on it, Mitchum replied with something like “Well, my foot might’ve raked his face at some point”. Lol.
