Top P4P rated fighters who were fighting well above their weight class. Its just silly to classify them as the same as beating top P4P rated fighters who floyd beat when he was moving up lol?

Winky Wright was slow and sluggish. Clearly the weight affected him. Its why Floyd beating Marquez who was top 2 pound 4 pound, is classed as a decent victory instead of a great one.

Its funny how Hopkins fans make new rules when beating blown up fighters lol

Corrales and Castillo were the bigger fighter. With Corrales being the best 130lb fighter in the world and Castillo being the best 135lb fighter in the world. In the exact opposite case of Pavlik, Trinidad, Wright and Tarver. These 2 went on to have great careers, beating hofers like Casamayor and Frietas and basically becoming the 2 best lightweights of this decade. What did Trinidad do at 160 after he lost to Hopkins? What did Pavlik? What did Wright? What did Tarver? Nothing. Tarver was always an average fighter who beat a shot Roy Jones jr for fame. Wright was blown up at that weight and never was the same fighter. Same with Tito. Pavlik who I actually give Hopkins some credit for, has not since.

As for Hatton. Decent win. Not great I agree. But he was ranked p4p top 8 and given a decent shout at beating Mayweather. As for Oscar, please. For Hopkins to accomplish something similar he'd have to beat Adamek or Dawson. A fighter who is bigger, and outweighs him considerably. Because thats what Floyd faced.

Again, belts in 5 weight classes. What has Hopkins accomplished similar?

So? He clearly won the second?

And as for Mayweathers resume being weak. Please. Name 3 active fighters with a better resume. Sorry, there is a reason why only a handful of fighters have won a belt in 5 weight classes. Its hard to do. Only the supremely skilled can do it.

Floyds beaten 13 champions. 5-6 hofers. And atleast 3-4 guys who were rated top 10 pound for pound when he beat them

So because Pacuqiao beat a bunch of Floyds leftovers he's now so far ahead, that even Floyd whipping him he cant catch? Wow.

i guess it depends on what your criteria is. mayweather showed more consistency and dazzling talent, pac took on EVERYBODY moved up in weight and dominated, hopkins has possibly the best single wins of the three and continues to excel at his age. all three have a legit claim, depending on what you are looking at

Only now has your agenda become clear. Barrera, Morales, Marquez, and Cotto were Floyd left overs? Come on man, if you don't see what Manny has been doing these last few years you're an idiot. His resume is heads and shoulders above Floyd, and a loss to him...would not change that.

You CANNOT lay claim to the being fighter of the decade when you were retired for 20% of it, and haven't fought a legitimate champion in your weight class for almost 40% of it.

I rate Corrales and Castillo with a faded Morales(who beat Pacquiao and lost to Zahir Raheem prior to losing to Pacquiao, proving his fadedness) and Barrera. Close SD over Marquez puts him over but not much.

Now after the lower weight classes. David Diaz, Shot drained DLH, worse for wear Hatton, and Cotto.

Now compare that to, Gatti, Corley, Zab Judah, Baldomir, undefeated Hatton, and a faded but still game DLH at his best weight class 154 and a blown up Marquez who floyd dominated.

Sorry, not seeing the vast leap in class difference in comp. **** Jesus Chavez who Floyd beat a decade ago, nearly beat David Diaz.

One of the worst lists of all time. Sorry mate.

This goes back to 2000, reevaluate all of the candidates careers from then. Did Barrera and Morales beat better oppoisition than Marquez beat over 10 years? Yes. Has Calzaghe clinched a top 5 spot off the back of a win over Lacy, Kessler, and Bhop? Ahhh helll naw. Have a re-think.
