EDIT: I accept your point about Andy Lee (I would assume that because his parents are Irish he holds dual citizenship and therefore the right to choose his stated nationality), I was just pointing out that nationality and ethnicity/cultural heritage/whatever you want to call it are linked but distinct. Thus Amir Khan is proud of his Pakistani origins but his nationality is firmly British.

 

I'm talking about how you see yourself and what nationality you identify with not politics or citizenship or any of that. Don't even get me started on the ****ing British government when it comes to nationality by the way!

I think you are confusing nationality and citizenship.
