My vote goes for Kessler, but his recent bouts have not really been versus high profile opponents. I've only included boxers that are currently fighting in the SMW division, i.e. guys like Hopkins, Abraham, Pavlik, Calzaghe, etc are not included.

Kessler, but now is Kessler's time to establish himself, if he doesnt do something quick he will have a 2 years of fighting for paydays like Calzaghe.

Head to head I really think it's Kessler, but I can't give him the number one spot due to poor opposition and inactivity. I know it's not his fault, but I rate guys based on what's actually going on rather than what I'd like to see.

We need Kesslers promoter to die, sooner rather than later. That stupid ******* is ruining Mikkels career.

    Agree 100%.

I guess I would pick Bute by default although I think Kessler would beat any of the current top guys at 168 or 175.

Unfortunately, Palle's daughter works with him and would continue the good work.

I think everyone knows the answer to this question, irregardless of politics.. Mikkel Kessler is the man at super-middleweight.. and Calzaghe fans have to admitt it.. he scared the **** out of Joe and his dad when they fought.

Kessler for now but it's going to be either Green or Froch to take his place.

Intuition tells me Kessler, though I have seen Froch more. I have not seen Bute fight at all. Kessler v Froch needs to happen rather than looking for Calzaghe.

Kessler at the moment. But I think Bute has a good shout. He has faced the better oppostion recently.

Kessler easily but he has to get moving and land a big fight or become the next sven ottke of the boxing world.
