with action fighter, I mean boxer who just put things together and go for the kill. full action until the final bell rings.

the thread could also be called "most fan friendly"-boxer, since fans generaly like fighters who give their ALL the most.

    all boxers in prime obviously.

Gatti, vunerable & exciting as hell.

    ATG action hero

Bowe was rarely in a dull fight, always entertaining

Tough to pick just one. Saad, Chacon, and Gatti all deserve mention.

Nigel Benn is one of my top 3 fighters, pleased to see him on the list.

I think 'Chico' Corrales should be on there, always exciting and always believed his power would prevail.

It's obvious to say Gatti but he really was one of the greatest all action fighters.

    Good thread.

I think Salvador Sanchez would have been right in the mix for this if things had gone differently.
Gatti was perhaps the least skilled on the list but he had box office in spades.

    The best: Roberto Duran
The one who came to mind when you spoke of ACTION: Carmen Basilio

Lots of votes for Gatti. Great action fighter, no doubt. But the best of all time?

    To each his own though.
