Seems that the US Heavyweight scene is pretty poor reading some of your posts.
Are there any young guns, who any of you rate ?
Guys that could make an impact in, say 3/5 years time ?

What do you mean even Usyk battered him? Implying Usyk isn't as good as fatty and the stringbean?

I'd back Hunter against Wilder too, especially now, and I think he handles Ruiz with little problem. Parker beat Ruiz by keeping him on the outside and beating him to the punch. It was only when he tried to trade with Ruiz on the inside that he came off second best. Hunter's versatile enough to play to his strengths and Ruiz's weaknesses, and if they ever fought I'd back him one hundred percent.

Martin Bakole is an extremely hard puncher who might well be comparable in power. Povetkin is also more than capable of knocking anyone out if he catches them clean enough.

Very unlikely Hunter just folds the first time he eats something off Wilder.

I hear you, funnily enough though, it's the Parker fight that makes me think Hunter would struggle with Ruiz.
Whenever Parker exited the pocket straight, Ruiz would end up catching him, Ruiz actually closes distance really well for HW, probably on account of his balance.
The problem is Hunter can look clumsy when he exits on an angle, and he likes to stay in the pocket a little too long against a guy like Ruiz.

I think it would be Hunters fight to lose, but if he doesn't fight a perfect fight it's gonna be trouble for him.

I'd wager Bakoles blows are more concussive than Deontays, the fellas got hands likepaving slabs.

    Right now? Can't say

Wilder was exposed and mentally damaged to the point of making lame excuses. Approaching 35 I think he's done.
Miller is back, but what it his weight?
Hunter is solid but too small and without power.
Ruiz Jr, if he can lose about 30 pounds may be the best of the lot

Rocky would of made Wilder fight backwards and Wilder would of folded like a deck of cards.

No way can Hunter stop Ruiz now, AJ has far more power than Hunter.

You know nothing of CW Level or Michael ''The Bounty'' Hunter Jr., young man

    Old post

Hunter nearly got Povetkin out of there in the first round. Granted an older version.

Hunter stopped Kiladze in 5, the same amount of rounds it took Joe Joyce, the savage punching Ajagba who Kiladze dropped hard, and one round quicker than Kownacki

He also stopped the unbeaten savage punching and streaking Bakole in 10 despite the later being way bigger than him and having over 40lbs on him

He stopped Ustinov in 9 despite the later having over 66lbs on him

And Hunter dropped the unbeaten and tough Kuzmin hard too who had 37lbs on him

He blew right through the 25lbs heavier and never before previously stopped Fabio Maldonado in just 2 rounds, the same Maldonado who in his previous 2 fights lasted the distance against Oscar Rivas, Oleksandr Teslenko and after fighting Hunter lasted the full route against Carlos Takam too. Takam praised Maldonado's toughness after the fight

Personally never did rate Miller one bit. I've had thoughts of rating Brezeale higher than him in the past.

As for the best American, obviously Wilder, he can beat anyone who isn't a top heavyweight, because he can bang and there aren't that many top heavyweights out there, Fury, AJ and maybe (50/50) Dillian Whyte are the only guys out there who I'd favour against Wilder.

Ruiz Jr was probably second but, I feel like it's important to see him fight again before I decide whether that's definitely still the case

Those punches lacked the snap of AJ`s and Ruiz`s combo`s are quicker.
