After Ruiz -Miller, and Jared Anderson got beaten badly, there's no doubt that American heavyweight boxing is officially dead.

They're all so god-awfully terrible that somehow the best American HW right now is genuinely Jarrell Miller after getting robbed by Fat Andy

Don't count out Richard Torrez. The last hope!

Hunter winning the poll, so people don't seem to know that Michael Hunter lost a fight recently to Artem Suslenkov

I said it years ago, and nothing has changed. Michael Hunter II.

Richard Torrez and Sonny Conto are decent prospects coming up.

But yeah it's pretty dead. There's loads of heavyweights but the quality is not there, and other nations are just better.

I do, I was one of about 3 people who saw it live and did the RBR for it. I actually picked Suslenkov to beat him, but because has a nightmarish spoilerific style that would trouble many a Heavyweight. But Michael even though it was close to a shutout, held his own most rounds and didn't perform all that badly considering he'd been out for as long as he'd been.

a lot has changed. Hunter is washed up. He hasn't looked good in years.

I'd have to go Miller I think.

Although if Ruiz dint mangle his hand it could be a different story.

    I hope they rematch.

Sure, but he or Miller are probably the best American Heavyweights, as sad as that is.

Not based on what he's shown over the last several years. Miller has clearly shown the most recently. The version that showed up last night also would have beaten Dubois as well.

I edited in Miller as you were responding. Still, I think Hunter with a little more activity under his belt, could find his form again. I'm not ready to write him off just yet.
