Right now, If I had to make a pick it would be Froch. His resume is the best out of everybody. It's up in the air, whoever wins the Super 6 will be the best.

Dirrell was robbed against Froch. Dirrell beats Froch 9 out of 10 times, easy.

And what happened in the end? Dirrell started to get caught with big punches and couldnt take it. He tried going to one knee like he did against froch and ended up getting KTFO. Good thing he can act like Densel Washington eh boy?

'Robbed' is about the most overused word on this site. I was at the fight and though I had Dirrell narrowly winning I admit it could've gone either way. There just wasn't enough between the two fighters for the majority of the fight to say Dirrell clearly won. Ottke-Reid was a robbery, this was just a close fight.

Froch has the strongest claim at 168 currently. But expect that to change.

    To answer the OP's question

Its a tie between Dirrell and Ward. The rest of the SMW division is miles behind.

Carl Froch all day. He is a future HOF'er and ATG. His lightening quick hands, dancing feet and movie star good looks make him the obvious choice.

"I wanna be just like you when I move up in the ranks" - Floyd Mayweather Jr to Carl Froch

    Abraham's pressure? Ish..... :-(

He did nothing for 9 rounds. He was simply following Dirrell around and throwing 10 punches a round. :huh

Librado Andrade is 10 times the pressure fighter that Abraham is. :deal

Obviously, Abraham does things much better then Andrade. Like blocking punches for example.

Lucian Bute: The most technically gifted boxer of them all. His chin and toughness seems a bit suspect. Great boxer and definetely in the top 6 at SMW. All of his fights has been handpicked and he fought them all at home. I think he would loose against Dirrell,Ward,Froch and Abraham. And possibly Miranda also.

Andre Dirrell: Very smart boxer with very fast hands. Belongs in the Top 4.

Carl Froch: Underrated by some not by himself though. Hes a better boxer than he gets credit for. His toughness is his best asset.. in the Top 4.

Andre Ward: In my opinion he is the best at SMW. He has it all except for power. My clear nr. 1 at SMW.

Arthur Abraham: He has the power to beat everyone at SMW, but he also could loose to all the boxers in the top 4.

Mikkel Kessler: He looks shot without ever getting KOed. I feel it may happen soon. Struggles to make the Top 10 .

Sakio Bika: Tough boxer with good tools, but without the ability to beat any of the top boxers at SMW ..rated 8th.

Robert Stieglitz: Not worth mentioning...doesn´t belong in the top 10.

Allan Green: For me he is a bit unknown...looks like he has a powerful right and he has some good wins but the loos against Miranda drags down. I would rate him 7th in the top 10.

Edison Miranda: technically he is not the most gifted boxer, but he is tough and hits very hard. I rate him 5th in the Top 10.

Future boxers with Top 10 potential:

    Adonis Stevenson

    Don George

    Brandon Gonzales

    Cornelius White

Paul Williams and Kelly Pavlik if they decide to move up in weight

Plenty of people who do 'know boxing' agree with me.

And you're hardly one to accuse me of bias. You're nuthuggery of Dirrell is simply astounding. You seem to solely exist on this site to call people ***s who dont share your warped view that Dirrell put on some sort of defensive masterclass against Froch. I mean last time I spoke to you, you compared his spoiling in the fight to Mongol horse archer tactics or some other pretentious bollocks. The only way you could actually believe such shite is down to Dirrell happening to come from the same shithole you do.

    You are a ****ing tool.

Not hard. A wooden plank could put on a defensive masterclass against Carl Froch.

A limey drunk *** like you wouldnt know what defense is though im afraid. Apparently ducking a wild cavemans punches and boxing is apparently "spoiling" tactics.

Apparently Dirrell should have just taken off his gloves, broke a liquor bottle and had a good jolly scrap for the drunken limeys in England. **** boxing and all this defense and skill nonsense, this is a fight mate!

Ward is over rated big time.

Talent aside he is not number 1. He has 2 real wins.He never even beat the number 1 at the weight. As far as I know Bute has been 1 for quite some time and has not been beaten yet. He has had a respectable and the longest reign of current champs. He has stopped tough guys at the weight and besides a 1 minute of hell with Andrade has been flawless. To me 1 win does not make you number 1 unless its over the number 1. I think Ward is over rated. He made the decade ranks at the weight. I don't know how being good for one year gets you in there. Plenty of guys have held a title at the weight that decade and why does this guy get above them.
