His toughest opponent has to be Marquez and of course his first match with Morales. A lot of his fights at their lower weights were much more competitive, now hes a new man.
In terms of speed, quickness, strength, power, etc. Your basic athletic principles, it's not a loaded question, I'm just curious as to what other peoples opinion would be. As an example I consider Berto super athletic, Gamboa is super athletic, for that matter Pac himself is super athletic. Does that make sense?
I understand about JMM and Morales, so these would be the best athletes he's fought in your opinion, nothing wrong with that, just confirming this in fact what you meant?
Probably not compared to guys like Berto or Judah but hes by far a better fighter than those two theres much more to boxing than being "athletic".
He has never beaten a real athlete. He's never faced a Diego Coralles or Gatti. Margarito was past his prime and obviously weight-drained. I am not hating, I give Pac his due props, he may be a good fighter but he's definitely an average boxer IMHO.
I don't discount there is more to fighting/boxing than being athletic, I'm simply curious as to who the best pure athlete he's beaten, in the minds of the people.
Probably Cotto, Mab or DLH. I'd say Josh but his performance was terrible and doesn't do him justice as a fighter.
I never thought of Cotto as very athletic compared to everyone else in the welter division (Floyd, Mosley, marg, emmanuel, cotto). He has the worse chin out of all of them. He's not quicker than Floyd, Mosley, and emmanuel. His reflexes are slow. Stamina isn't that great. I don't know how strong he is. His best thing going is power.
