how was margarito weight drained weighing in at 150 rehydrating to 165 after fighting his entire career at 147 and having Margo himself say he had no weight problems and was in the best shape of his life?

I still believe he has yet to face an ATHLETICALLY GIFTED opponent. However, the most skilled fighter he has fought to date is Juan Manuel Marquez.

I would say maybe Hatton. Hatton, was not a, fundamentally, gifted boxer like MAB, Morales, or JMM. He beat opponents on a combination of strength, pressure, footwork, workrate, and decent power...basically, athleticism.

I don't disagree, and after seeing the responses and in many cases the lack of responses, I will say that I would like to see Pac either drop down to 140 and take on the young athletic guys there, or perhaps take on some of the more athletically gifted welters. I don't recall him ever being in with an A+ athlete, again that doesn't translate to being an A+ boxer, but he's made his name "out athleting" his opponents. I would like to see him in with a guy who could stack up athletically and would place more of an emphasis on his strategy, technique, defense, and overall skill set. The overwhelming lack of shear athletic ability of his opponents is shocking. I am a bit tired of the Big clumsy goof vs. the speedy, nimble blur.

Doesnt matter, he would have worked Judah and Berto and hed give Mosley parkinsons if they ever fight now. So its really irrelevant.

Someone with skills and athleticism would be able to beat emmanuel convincingly.

Lots of emmanuel's resume is made up of latino and asian fighters. They don't seem to be that atheletic.

Andre Berto is a ripe and young athlete for the picking, but he's lacking in skills. I see him getting brutally knocked out.

I agree with that. Berto is VERY athletic. But, he has holes in his game, that Freddie would spot and have Manny exploit, all night. That fight would end in a KO for Manny.

Timothy Bradley at 140, would be a different type of challenge. He has a combination of athleticism, skills, heart, and pedigree, which would present a good test for Manny. But, I think Manny is a cut or so above Bradley. So, I see a win, possibly, by stoppage, for Manny too. Bradley punches a bit too wide at times and gets in needless exchanges, sometimes. But, it would present a good style matchup, for as long as it lasts, IMO.
