Currently, it's Miguel Cotto in my books.

In the last 15 years, there are plenty to debate over.

My favorite body puncher in the last 15 years is Micky Ward, although I wouldn't call him the best.

I also think SSM is a very underrated body puncher.

That would be my pick, his son uses that left to the body well also.

Kid probably came out of his mom's birth canal throwing that punch.

NO WAY Hatton is in that class.

Ward is definately the cream of the crop if we are talking 15 years.
Cotto is the best of this generation easily.

Then I would probably say....Pernell Whitaker? Id say Chavez, but I dont know if you could really call that the past 15 years, so....(Pernell either actually...I have no idea)?

A third one is kinda tough, there are plenty you could make a case for....none that distinctively stand out.

Funny ****, but Hatton's not a good body puncher to you? Micky Ward hasn't fought in quite a few years and Cotto has always been a great body puncher.

Those names immediately came to mind........................so **** off.

Whenever a fighter can defeat his opponent with a single, well placed body shot they get my vote. Castillo is no tomato can either...............in fact he makes the list for great body punchers of the last 15 years himself.

Micky Ward had many body punch KO's

#1Chavez, #2 Cotto(I feel the punches through the TV), #3the irishman Ward he was pretty effective.

    runner ups would be
    Mayweather(underrated body puncher)
Hatton(he has a good left hook to the body, he gets his body weight into it.)

Trinidad was pretty good too, and Tyson in his prime was a pretty good body puncher. Cotto is probably there already, but I think the greatest would probably be Chavez.

But if your going on that criteria, you have to include Hopkins (DLH), Floyd (Mitchell), as well as plenty of others that dont belong in that category.

Hatton is a pretty good body puncher....but I can honestly think of quite a few fighters off the top of my head that are better.

A well placed body shot by any fighter (especially as well placed as that one from Hatton was...) with decent to good power, will drop someone....

I didn't include Hopkins because his 1 shot KO to the body of Oscar didn't look real to me. Oscar just knew he was losing & found a nice spot on the mat to retire IMO.
