There were many stupid opinions in there, but that was the best. That same exact version of Brewster, also lost to Helenius (who destroyed him more convincingly than Wlad did.) and Oloukun. It is hard to believe that Haye could not outbox Brewster, if Gbenka Oloukun was able to do so. Younger Pre prime/Prime version of Brewster was also outboxed by glass jawed Clifford Ettiene. So against Prime version, Haye could be catched and knocked out, but Haye could just as well outbox him.
One or two less bags of donuts and maybe a couple fewer cases of brew during training camp and old and fat Corrie could have closed the show with TWO early KOs of the Klit Bros in THEIR prime (rather than just the one). Dropped a prime fit Vitali in the 1st and DEMOLISHED a prime fit Wlop in 2. Sanders was completely ordinary in his prime and fat and out of shape against the Klits. The conclusions are obvious. Cornelius Johannes Sanders stands above the Klits in offensive ability and right beside them on the all-time list. Somewhere near Nate Tubbs. Hopefully some day heavyweight boxing will again be of interest to at least some great and talented large sized athletes so this period of dross can be forgotten as boxing's "war years" when all the able bodied men were off fighting in other sport competition.
As much as I like both Haye and Wladimir I'm glad to see Haye fighting others and want to see more of it so he gets hyped well enough when the Wladimir fight eventually happens. Finally, I HOPE, Wladimir will get the credit he rightfully deserves and earned LONG AGO by winning if he does beat Haye. Of course that's wishful thinking but we'll see.
Byrd, by miles. Not sure why tha fat knacker Chagaev is getting so many mentions.... who did he actually beat? Did he actually try against Wlad or just take a beating for a few rounds and quit like a little girl?
Don't cry son.:| The tape don't lie ... [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=USxJeHV1pd8[/ame] The guy spending the last twenty seconds of the 1st round getting punched in the face, running, back pedaling, flailing, trying to hold, and falling at the end of the first is named Vitali Klitschko .. try and keep up. You might consider writing the bro's names on the posters you keep in your room until you got it straight. :good
If you didn't have to post falsehoods than people might take you seriously. First of all... Wlad was obviously not in his prime. Wlad didn't become a finished product until 2006 and his run thereafter. Second... Sanders did not drop Vitali. He did stun him well... but he tripped Vitali to the canvas. It isn't even debatable to anyone with sense, who is interested in the truth and not trying to stir up bull****. There was one other poster like you some time ago... I took this snap shot for him way back then... This content is protected A mild ****** who is blind in one eye could see that Corrie's leg was blocking/tripping Vitali's leg, and Corrie was pushing Vitali's side/back. That is not a knockdown in the sport of boxing. Which is why it wasn't ruled a knockdown.
He has fought several real competent boxers. From a technical stand point Byrd, Chagaev, Chambers and Ibragimov are all really good technical fighters. Since this thread is designed to "pump up Haye," it should be pointed out that the first version of Byrd that Wlad fought could have beat the version of Haye that beat an old Ruiz on Saturday. I'd make Chagaev a clear favorite over Haye as he is faster than Ruiz, a very competent boxer, with good counter punching ability and a very solid punch. I'd also make Chambers a favorite over Haye as he has a good beard, very fast hands, and has shown an ability to deal with bigger fighters before, Klitschko aside. Sultan I am iffy on. He has the power to put anyone's lights out, but he became very defensive under Mayweather.
Corrie Sanders. Sanders absolutely smoked him.... If Corrie had shown up just as hungry and in shape a year later against Vitali, he would have been the new WBC champ, just as convincing. Huge waste of talent....
well i was asking who was the best boxer he has beat, and he did not beat Sanders. so it looks like the consensus seems to be that Byrd is the best boxer that he beat, and that Byrd would clearly beat Haye. That is all I wanted to know.
The correct answer is either Bryd the first time or Peter. Bryd was the best overall boxer he ever beat, and Peter was the toughest fighter he ever beat. Iggy is a nobody, he had a draw against Ray Austin and his best wins are over a 45 yearold Holyfield and against a sick Shannon Briggs who had to use an inhaler in his corner. Iggy hasn't fought since his loss to Wlad in feb. of 08, shows how good he is. Chagaev is a disease ridden fighter whose last two fights before fighting Wlad showed that the injuries and time off caught up with him.
the answer is yes, wladimir is probably better than david haye but that doesn't mean jack **** if he's knocked out.
