Well it was actually 2-0 against Kovalev when Kovalev was the feared undefeated Light heavyweight champion of the world. Ward just did not beat him, he took his soul. Kovalev was never the same thereafter. He beat him inside and outside the ring, physically and mentally. Kathy Duva is still salty about it till today.

 

One is undefeated who beat all the top guys of his time the other was knocked out 3 times and lost 8 times. Pretty clear whose record is better. Big difference between popularity and who is better.

Undefeated doesn’t automatically make you better. By that notion then Joe Calzaghe is better than Sugar Ray Robinson and Muhammad Ali.

Pac has beaten 6 HOF fighters (3 of them ATGs), 8 division world champion, 3x Fighter of the Year, Fighter of the Decade, oldest WW champion. That’s a respectable record.

 

Never said it was not a respectable but so is Ward’s and the difference is Ward prevailed over a murderer’s list of opponents like Floyd, Pacquiao did not. Calzaghe did not face a muderer’s list of opponents.

 

Umm Barrera, Morales, JMM, Cotto, Thurman aren't murderer's list of opponents? The fact is that Pac has an ATG resume that towers over Ward. He's done things that is hard for any fighters to duplicate. What ATGs has Ward beaten that is comparable to Barrera, Morales, and JMM? Froch, Kessler, and Kovalev are not on their level.

You are missing my point. No one doubt’s Pacquiao’s resume, what is being said is he did not escape unscathed. Ward beat Kovalev twice, Carl Froch, Arthur Abrahams, Kessler, Arthur Abraham, Bad Chad Dawson etc who were all champions. Ward’s resume is not in issue at all.

 

No it depends on who he fought and beat. No questions left u answered about both Ward and Pacquiao. We know Pacquiao’s Kryptonite.
