Does it also affect your resistence to getting punched in the crotch?

Simple question. Was the stitching on Kovalev's crotch ABOVE THE BELT or BELOW the belt?

Because Ward "stopped him" with a low blow.

In light heavyweight history, we have famous shots of Bob Foster icing Tiger and Quarry with shots to the head. We have shots of Marvin Johnson knocking out Victor Galindez with a punch to the head. We even have images of Roy Jones breaking Virgil Hill's rib and stopping him with a body shot and wasting Montell Griffin in one round with head shots.

And then we have Ward stopping Kovalev with a low blow.

VODKA SHMODKA ... a low blow is a low blow.

Like I said to another gentleman on here we have to agree to disagree. Ward was a bad mother****er so was Pacquiao but no holes in Ward’s game. Pacquiao has a great resume no questions but we must not overlook the holes in his game. Ward could adapt to anything he faced.

I strongly disagree. He cleaned up Super Middleweight beat everybody and then took the soul of the dominant best Light Heavyweight. Special special fighter.

The fact that Pac accomplished MORE THAN WARD with all these 'holes' in his game only bolsters my claim about Pac being greater. All you are going by is Ward being undefeated. He did not accomplish more than Pac. He does NOT have a greater resume than Pac. those aren't opinions. Those are facts you refuse to acknowledge.

Cleaned? Not really. SprMW was not as deep as you want to believe. No Bute, No Dirrell... Wins over Abraham at 168 mean little. And his two best wins ALREADY lost before. And you've seen the pictures of the low blow. How you can see them and STILL be in denial is just odd.

No I am going by the manner in which he repelled his challengers. If we are talking abou5 unbeaten records then we will be forced to rate Ottke highly which I don’t. Robin Reid kicked his ass and was cheated.

You think Bute could even give Ward a challenge who Ward’s victims Froch carved up and slaughtered? Direll unfortunately became damaged goods though a very talented boxer.

Interestingly when the Super 6 was announced most thought Kessler would win but I said people were missing the point that one or both of the outstanding young Americans would likely win the tournament.

Sure, Froch demolished Bute, but that was a pumped up Froch in front of his own fans in Nottingham and I feel that Froch rose to the crowd that night and Bute was super affected by it - not taking anything away from Froch there, but I think that Bute would have done better against Ward than Froch did.

I still maintain that if Ward had fought Kessler in Copenhagen or Froch in Nottingham then he'd likely have a loss on his record - especially with Kessler where Ward got away with blue murder in Oakland. Still not sure how he wrangled all his fights in the US for the orig Super 6, something fishy there IMO

Yes, Bute could have given Ward a fight. I wouldn't have bet on Bute, but it was a big fight he missed.

That's not a real type of criteria of greatness. What you've accomplished, is the ultimate decider. And Pac accomplished a TON more than Ward.

Yeah those were obviously low & clearly below the belt, but that was expected going into most of Wards fight's & i believe that Kovalev won their first fight but it was taken away from him by the usual Shady Culprits,

In the second fight even though Ward was back on his Low Blow Marathon, Kovalev also for his part didn't prepare well enough & was catching right hands before the stoppage, Kovalev lacked discipline going into that rematch & the fault falls on him for that.

Nothing fishy. He beat the living crap out of both Kessler and Froch. He disarmed them, he got to them they could not get to him simple as that. Venue irrelevant. Froch turned down a rematch at Wembley.
