I've seen clips and its hardly light sparring. We'll see. May 15th should say alot about Khan. If Paulie had power he'd be a dominant boxer. which doesnt mean much(if my aunt had a dick I know) but says alot about his boxing ability.
Kell Brook? Seriously? Brook has looked horrible lately, did you even see his last fight? Are you sure you didn't just load up highly ranked British guys on boxrec and pick one
I'd say coming back from a a knockout loss like Prescott takes some mental strength, as does getting up from the canvas and going on to win fights, as he's done more than once. Why is Froch considered tougher mentally? Because he doesn't have skills and blocks punches with his face? People always assume that fighters with skills must be mentally weaker than brawlers, I don't get it. It's not as simple as "fighter A has a lot of heart because he's not afraid to brawl and get in the trenches". Yeah but is he mentally tough enough to concentrate and stick to a gameplan for 12 rounds or will he go back to taking two shots to land three after he gets punched in the face? Does he have the mental strength to get out of his comfort zone and change things about his game that he knows he needs to improve such as his defence? The way Khan did?
Khan has had an unbelievably lucky and padded career so far. He's been fed mostly blown-up feather-weights at least 4 inches shorter than him, the only time he faced someone as big as him physically he was KO'd in a round. He was saved by the ref in the Willie Limond fight when he gave Khan valuable seconds to recover from the knockdown. Khan was also dropped by a ridiculous punch in the Gomez fight. His comeback fight against ***an after the Prescott loss his opponent breaks his ankle midfight. Then his big fight against an elderly Barrera ends after Barrera's head is split open after a clash of heads. After all this I've come to the conclusion that Khan has talent for sure, but it's a talent that will have limited success on the world stage against genuine world class fighters. He will not cope with the rough stuff.
When did Khan win the British lightweight title? The way I remember it, Thaxton and Murray were begging for him to challenge for that title but Frank didn't go for it.
Well all of your top brits have glass jaws:bbb:dead:dead I think Kahn is the best though he will go farther than Haye, i think Haye gets KTFOD by the Klits,Arreola and a few other guys got a shot. Kahn IMO is supertalented and that might bring him some good wins at best he could possibly a Terry Norris? I know thats reaching but i think Kahn is pretty good. As for Haye he is ready for the taking as soon as he fights a heavyweight who can punch.:hey:hey:bbb
To be honest Kevin Mitchell has impressed me the most in the last half year or so. He's got skill, power, chin and guts so he could go far.
