I can see why people would say Haye. But, the truth is, Haye hasn't proven anything at heavyweight. Khan is an immense talent and under Freddie Roach coach, the sky is the limit.
Khan hasn't proven anything at JWW either tbf, if you want to go off how proven they are in their weight class then neither can touch Froch at the moment.
In all fairness the best british fighter at the moment is ryan rhodes seen his last 5 fights, the man improves with age, absoultly give unbelivable performance against jamie moore, he has shown unbelivable heart and determination. guy can box can scrap it out, my pick is ryan rhodes
atsch You brits are so delusional about your fighters But yet you want to dissect and disrespect every other fighter thats coming up, Puuuuuuuleaasel. Ryan Rhodes would be a good punching bag for El Perro or James Kirkand:yep Rhodes has gone as far as he ever will go and that is a punching bag name on another American, or Mexicans record.
Stupid moron, i wasnt saying he would be this great thing, im saying the man gives 100% evreyfight, even if he is top euro level only, the man still fights with heart and determination, which is a quality i pick when chose my fighter. You American think the best is the guy with the belt, its the guy who comes forward when your the big underdog and still dominate the fight, (talking bout the fight with moore), you probally never even heard who he is so go and jack of to your flyod mayweather picture ya dick
Can't say this is true. The only weakness of Khan which has clearly been show, is his limited punch resistence. Mentally however, I've not seen anything here which is of concern. In fact, I would say he's pretty strong in this department. He was pushed in to the spotlight at the tender age of 17, and has since been headlining events. In two of those bouts, he was decked to the canvas, got up, and forced to dig deep to win by stoppage (granted, it was against limited opposition). The other he was brutally stopped, sending his dreams of being an elite fighters come crashing down, and written off by almost everyone. A year later, he's grabbed a world title, and on the verge of competing with the worlds best. It can be safely said, when it comes to mental strength, heart and grit, Khan's pretty well equipped
What are you talking about? His last fight was against Benias (sp?). I thought he looked solid against a decent boxer. He has a good variety of punches and moves his head, both of which a lot of fighters neglect. I don't expect a lot of people to agree with me, I was just giving my opinion on who I think will be great a few years down the line. If i'm wrong, so be it, It's not like I've never been wrong before.
Taken as a group, they're pretty unimpressive. I mean, what do they have? A grand total of 9 title defenses between them?
I said Froch, not because I think he is the most talented, or talented at all for that matter, but he is ready and willing to fight the best anywhere and at any time. Thats gotta count for something. The sport of boxing would be a lot healthier if all champions took a leaf out of his book.
If I recall correctly Ray Leonard KO'd Tommy Hearns in the 14th round when behind on points so I assume you'd say that Ray Leonard wasn't 'top class' either?
