Who is the best currently active American heavyweight?

It's Tony Thompson or Arreola, I'm not sure which is better, even though Arreola would be the betting favorite. Fast Eddie is pulls up close at third best.

Seth Mitchell will prove to be a dud. Mark my words. Just a question of getting him in the ring with somone who can box a little and hit hard with the right hand. KO waiting to happen.

I don't think we'll ever see a truly first rate performance from Hasim Rahman again. I know he's lost a lot of weight and is training hard with EMM, but biologically, Hasim's time has probably past him. Too bad, because Hasim was a fine fighter in his prime.

Grant barely got past Botha. In fact, Grant was nearly stopped in that fight. What can we expect from Grant after that?

Monte Barrett is a ballsy fighter, and it's nice to see him in the ratings again, but he can't hang with guys like Arreola and Thompson, I don't think.

As for Holyfield, he's getting to the point where he needs to be connected to a ventilator. I don't even think he could beat any of the other guys in the 40's club, such as McCall and Boswell.

Maybe Thompson. Similarly to Chambers he's not done anything for a long time. Arreola has been active, but what's his best win? The current best American heavyweights just don't seem to have any belief about themselves. There must be a lot of people in the states that can't wait for the Klitschkos to fade into retirement

I suspect that the reason he keeps fighting B-level guys is that no ranked HW wants to face him.

 

I voted Tony Thompson. but Arreola is right there, if he gets in shape.

I cant understand how anyone could vote for Fast-food Eddie Chambers or Seth Mitchell who hasnt had a meaningful fight yet.... unless you count beating Sultans cousin.

Chambers is a Cruiserweight who cant stay away from the buffet table.

Wilder is too lanky for 6'7'' guy. He only weighs what 210lbs? It is way too low for fukin 6'7'' guy. Damn Hw Paul Williams.. He should add ALOT of weight on him to those chicken legs.

Every succesfull 6'5''++ guy Like Lennox, Wlad, vitali, Bowe they all have been around 230-250.
