Jose Nápoles was very effective at working and staying elusive. He didn’t just try not to get hit he was making progress and staying unscathed. Don’t look at the guys whose entire conscious effort goes into avoiding punches that’s not a real defence think of the Journeyman with 200 losses who have never been KO’d. Look at the ones who are always in a position to pull the trigger from safety. Louis, Lopez, Duran, McCallum and Jose are my choices for practical and progressive defence.
