Barrera was coming towards the end of his top level performances, the only time we ever saw one again was against his rival, which was predictable. In any event, Pacquiao did defeat a good version of Marco, but that was his only notable win at the weight. Barrera did better work there, and accomplished more. Pacquiao being considered the best Featherweight of the last 20 years is laughable, but something I've come to except rather than accept at Eastside Boxing.

Let's completely disregard Barrera's wins over Tapia, Kelley, Morales, Hamed, and Sanchez at 126, because Pacquiao came along and won 1 fight at the weight. LAUGHABLE!

I'm not completely disregarding those wins. Actually I'm not disregading them at all. Barrera was clearly a great featherweight. He clearly accomplished more than Pacquiao at 126. I'm not saying MAB was not incredible, or that his accomplishments are not amazing.

But you're saying Pacquiao should be considered the best at that weight during the last 20 years based on a draw over Marquez, a fight he threw away, and a demolition over Marco. Ain't good enough. He could have established himself as the best had he done more work there, but the fact of the matter is, he didn't. Marquez, Hamed, Morales, and notably Barrera all have more merit as a 126lb than Pacquiao.

Pinoys who don't know **** about the sport outside of Manny come on to these threads, see his name, and lick their lips. It rightly leaves a bad taste in people's mouths. I see messages on youtube, claiming Morales and Barrera got whooped by Manny and they ain't worth ****. They probably thought their first professional fight was in 2000.

Pacquiao is the ****, don't get me wrong, but some of his fans distinguish themselves from others because they are so crude.

I consider Pacquiao better than Marquez, Barrera, Morales, John, and Hamed. When he was at 126, he was better then these guys were when they were at 126.

He didn't stick around at long enough to prove beyond any doubt he was the best, but what he accomplished at 122, 126 and 130 in the years surrounding his stay at 126 leads me to believe he was a better featherweight than those guys.

The same way I think Roy Jones Jr was a better SMW than Joe Calzaghe.

The same way if you make a poll asking asking who is better at 140 between Floyd Maywaether and Ricky Hatton, Mayweather will win by a landslide, even though Hatton accomplished much more

I think the way a past prime Morales handled a peak Pacquiao is indicative of how superior a fighter he is to Pacquiao. I also feel, Marquez won both of his fights against Manny, and that Hamed would have been licking his lips with such a wide open target as a 126lb Pacman. Likewise, the Barrera that fought Morales in 2000 would have been an entirely different animal to the one Manny fought in '03, Marco a fighter who I consider to be far more talented than Manny.

But guess what? None of that matters here because the proof is in the pudding. Pacquiao held one notable win at the weight, whereas Marquez had a long career at 126lb taking out contenders, Hamed achieved more at Featherweight, and MAB had the superior resume. Pacquiao has no business leading this poll, and if I didn't already know you were pacquiao fan based on our history, your comments in this thread would have been a huge indication.

well I had PAcquiao beating Marquez twice. He would have absolutely demolished Hamed. Morales was still prime when Pacquiao moved up in weight and lost a close fight in which he was hampered by an accidental cut, and then Pacquiao proved in the rematch that he was the better fighter. The Barrera that Pacquiao knocked out was at his prime and coming off the best win streak of his career, and then the shot Barera that Pac beat easily 4 years later still managed to give MArquez hell.

I'm glad you didn't argue with my analysis, but rather just gave me some of your personal opinions that hold no weight. We both know Pacquiao is not the best 126lb of the last 20 years, and if you think he is, shame on you.

I gave you the reasons why Pacquiao is a better featherweight than the others in the poll. You don't have to agree with me. I didn't argue with your analysis cause I've accepted that your opinion is different than mine.

Shame on me? grow the **** up.

I think considered Pacquiao had one noteworthy win at 126lb, whereas the other guys did so much more work is indicative of how wrong you are. You should be ashamed, you're either just misinformed, or you're a deluded Pacquiao fan of the Enzo and Harrison variety. In any event, Manny is not the best 126lb fighter of the last 20 years. Not in terms of H2H, resume, or accomplishments.

The *******s strike again, this is a prime example of why polls simply dont work on ESB because you have massive fanbases for certain fighters who will vote for their fighters in polls even past the point of being proven completely wrong.

Oh what a ****ing surprise, PH|LLA this could be a Pac vs SRR poll and you'd find some sort of reason to vote for Pac. Are you trying to better johnco or something ?

Barrera beat Morales and has a better resume at 126. Overall in their careers Morales is the greater fighter based on accomplishments and H2H.

Hamed under Ingle was something special in my opinion.
